Jewel Tandoori in Southend-on-Sea

Another superb meal from jewel tandoori. Hot, full of spices and flavours. Just great !

I've eaten curry since a child from probably over 20 different places in Southend and this is I can say is a fantastic place. I've eaten from here multiple times now and the food has been amazing, full of flavours and super tender meat - I would recommend the onion bhajis and chicken pathia.

First time ordering & very impressed, all round very good tasty food. Good price too. Will be using again. Thankyou 🙂

Worst curry I've ever been served (can't say eaten it was that bad). The meat was so dry my child who would happily live on meat alone wouldn't touch it! I called and they offered to replace the order but it was that bad I declined. I asked if I could have a vegetable version to avoid their meat but they said like for like only. We ended up just eating the sauce and one of the naan breads. I'm not sure how it's got such good reviews.

Loved the food would highly recommend after trying all the Indians in the area I can safely say I have found the perfect one!

I’m wary when I order from a new Indian. But I chose this as it was 5* food safety rating and reasonably priced.It arrived early dispute me not being close.All the food was amazing. The sag paneer was my favourite. A great consistency and super tasty! Compared to many others I’ve tried.Dansak was really good. As was korma. Chicken seemed fresh and like was first order. (Preordered)This is now my new Indian :)

first time I have ordered. the food was good but I ordered a vegetarian rogan josh and got a chicken rogan josh. didn't send it back because it was late and would have been even later if we had. maybe they should make sure they check the orders are right before they go out. I dont think I would order from them again.

After reading reviews thought we would give this a go, really disappointed.Ordered a chicken tikka only got 4 piecesA tikka masala again lacking chicken,mixed grill which was ok, Bombay potatoes no taste.Normally would get free poppadoms from others restaurants, but nothing from the Jewel. Sorry guys will not be using you again

Finest food in miles. Glad I took my friends recommendation to order from here. Manager was extremely helpful and helped me cater for some very fussy people. LOVED THE PLACE DID HALF PORTIONS and amazing discounts !

Very average food. Madras tasteless, rice bland and couldn't even smell the garlic in the garlic nan. I didn't even order the rice. They decided to change it for the onion bhaji I did order. First and last time.
