Legend - Deli in Southend-on-Sea

Just received my first Sunday roast from legend deli , they are legends best roast I had in years . Delivery arrived nice and hot and on time . Will definitely be getting another one A+++

Popped in yesterday for a burger to eat in. What a lovely burger, service was great and wine was reasonably priced. Will definately be back!

Legend Deli's fairly generous vegan menu was a pleasant surprise, but their inclusive food options was unfortunately the only good thing about the place. They're clearly understaffed, serve overpriced, mediocre to bad food, in a not very flattering environment.We tried the Turkish Tempeh Halep and Satay Tempeh Burger, and got a decent sauce with tempeh bits in it, and a 'burger' made out of a hash brown and a very dry puck of too fried tempeh, served between two pieces of dry, crusty, bread.The only thing that's saving this review from a single star is the hard-working waiter that served us.

Always a great place to eat, delicious food, friendly staff and owners. Absolutely recommended. Revisited again recently and as good as ever. The Walter White is a regular order, I want to try so many things but I keep coming back to it.

She was very pleasant and polite.I am all for supporting small independent local businesses (where deserved). It is true that I opened up a trip advisor account, initially just to leave you a review, because that's how genuinely disappointing I felt.My review for Pasta Pia was equally factual as the service was very friendly, prompt and most importantly, the food was delicious. I literally could fault any aspect of my visit there. (The day after attending your establishment).I'm just very disappointed that you accuse my review as "a bit iffy". You should listen to your customers feedback, as I don't think waiting 40 minutes for a drink IS reasonable.Perhaps you'll find this review more credible on Google as I have reviewed lots of places (fairly I might add - if you care to peruse - & no doubt pick fault there too!). In fact it's actually quite difficult to get a bad review from me - so bravo - well done there!P.S. We have been meaning to go here for sometime now, after seeing all the positive reviews online. We went on Saturday at 12:30 and had a table booked, which turns out was a smart move! Even with outside seating people were turned away because the place was full! I had a special jerk chicken burger and the misses a saltbeef bap thing, plus we split a side of prawn & battered pork belly. The food was great and the service friendly but not overly familiar.For the food you get (freshly prepared) the price is more than fair.Pros - Good food - Good price - nice staff - independent local businessCons - small establishment (not an issue if you book like we did)

This is the second time that I've visited Legend Deli. We went for a valentine's day lunch and was not disappointed. Fantastic food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. For what you get, as you can see from the the size of the hot chicken and gravy sandwich in the photograph, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality fantastic. Highly, highly recommend a visit.
