Leigh Tandoori in Southend-on-Sea

Lovely food and very friendly staff

Easily the best in Southend if not further afield. I have been there twice in the past four days. It is becoming an obsession. Dishes you cannot get everywhere like Fish Bhuna excellent.

Perfect lads night out for an Indian. Thanks to Covid this was a long time coming. We thought we'd try somewhere new and Leigh Tandoori hit the spot for everyone.Shame parking in Leigh is so difficult as we absolutely loved the food here. Will be back in the New Year.

Really nice atmosphere, quite buzzy this evening. Food as reliably good as is usual. Pleasant service and friendly staff. Love this place, best in Leigh.

Really marvellous take away! Very impressed with the chicken tikka … actual BBQ taste. Non greasy. Great lamb Bhuna.Very busy indeed on a Fri night so I enjoyed a half Cobra whilst they prepped it.

I've had a takeaway from here a couple of times since I move to the area and it's been OK but nothing to write home about but this evening it was awful...biryani was tasteless with over cooked stodgy rice, accompanying vegetable curry was very watery with little veg apart from a couple of potatoes, half a dozen peas and one green bean, I think there might have been a carrot too. Puppadom was broken into about 50 small pieces and the keema naan looked like it had been in a car crash, mangled with all the filling sitting loose in the bottom of the bag. Probably not going to order from here again. Shame really as its opposite my house. I should also say that there were only two tables dining in and both had already gotten their food. So no excuses.EDIT...The morning after wasn't pretty...definitely never buying food from here again, they must have some serious food safety issues in their kitchen. The EHO need to pay them a visit.

Place was nicely presented and all staff were professional and polite, I feel the rice portion size wasn't enough and the food was just ok. I wasn't blown away to be honest

Nice food, friendly service. I wish there were more fish options on the menu. I also wish they used hot plates on the table.

Excellent- many authentic dishes available, not too creamy / sugary as often is the case. Would recommend!
