Neptune Ltd in Southend-on-Sea

Avoid avoid avoid. Fish was very small. Tasteless miniature plate for the cost they charge. The waitress showed a large chips and I got a small one instead. Dissapointing.

Wouldn't recommend. Ordered 3 meals - came out quickly but chips weren't very hot. As eating the meal realised there was a hair in the food - the staff dealt with this well by taking the meal of our bill and providing a new one, but this had put me off. Toilets really unhygenic. Would recommend other places along the sea front rather than this if i'm honest.

Aweful food!! Dining in is £2 more than other places on this strip. Chips are inedible, cold and bitter. Fish is tiny as well. Avoid at all costs!

A big group of us did a charity bike ride from London and just picked a restaurant. Lucky choice I guess.The staff in my option were amazing, there was quite a few of us and they have no problem serving us quickly.There was no attitude when we asked for extra's and more and more people kept coming.Food was nice and I never heard any complaints from anyone who ate here at the same timeThey were polite and friendly from start to endWill go again when I visit Southend

Fantastic food. I highly recommend the rock and chips. Staff can't do enough for you. Service is friendly and fast. You can't go wrong.

I don't usually write bad reviews and I hope this is the first and last bad review I write in a long time.It started out ok. But towards the end we were asked 3times (one waitress and one manager) if they could clear our plates even when one of us is still eating. The place was half full and there were patrons who were there before us and had plates on their table. Made us feel really unwelcomed.We ordered scampi and chips and cod and chips. The only good thing was the chips.The scampi was not fresh and was soggy inside. The cod was thick in batter and the fish was tasteless. Thr ketchup was awful, very sour and full of red colourings. Growing up from a seaside town and had many fish and chips in my lifetime, this is definitely the worst fish and chips place I've been to.Please avoid.

Love this place. Went there as a kid with my parents and continue to go there with my children. The food is very reasonable priced and is always hot, well presented and tastes amazing. The desserts are great too.
