OakTree Vegetarian Bistro in Southend-on-Sea

Had a great time, got the Nachos, Pad Thai and Caramel cheesecake for dessert. All of the food was really tasty and the staff were all super friendly. Thanks for a great visit!

Food was absolutely amazing, even my partner, who isn't vegan, enjoyed it. The Bao buns were delicious, and I was so happy to see "Calamari" on the menu. It's something I've really missed since going vegan, and it was brilliant, very similar to the real thing. We will definitely return :)

I have wanted to visit The Oak Tree for a long time and it certainly didn't disappoint. The staff were so warm and welcoming and made such a fuss of my 82 year old mum as it was her birthday.The food was exceptional and so delicious - all 3 courses.I could not fault our visit today.We will definitely be back..... I need to try everything on your menu!

Went in Summer, amazing food. Looks great, new things I hadn't tried before so a fun experience. Unfortunately, I inquired if it was wheelchair accessible when I'd like to return with a wheelchair user but was told there is no ramp. So it is not accessible.

Was fantastic. Atmosphere was great. Staff were really friendly and the food was so yummy. My husband isn't vegan but I am and he had nothing but good things to say about the food and wants to book back ASAP. Such a nice feeling to know you don't have to worry about what you are being served and if it is vegan. Thank you for a great evening.

The restaurant had a lovely ambience, staff were happy and helpful.The food was amazing and a great choice of options. I went with my daughter who is a meat eater and thought the burger was out of this world.Would definitely go back and take the whole family next time.

Absolutely fantastic food. The range of options on the menu is brilliant, something for all tastes. The portion sizes are well worth the money. The staff were spot on, not over attentive, but enough to make you feel like they value your custom. Considering it is 100% vegan, it's priced very competitively too. Four of us ate here, and we all cleared our plates. If you are not local, it's worth the travel.Thank you once again for proving that vegans dont just eat grass🤘💚

Absolutely gorgeous food, service and staff are so friendly. We loved our meal here. Our son was very taken with the staff, especially Ivy. All our food was delicious. We had nachos, bao buns(warning, very spicy and we can handle spice 😂) to start with. Our one year old had the garlic bread with mac and cheese from the kids menu. My partner had the fish burger with fries and mac and cheese. The most realistic mock fish we've tried in 9 years. I had the mock chicken and bacon burger with fries and mac and cheese. It was very tasty. We were too stuffed for desserts. My only critism would be the ribs have been taken off the menu. We were gutted, we came from London to finally try the food, we met the owners 6 years ago and kept meaning to come. The ribs looked amazing online and had my heart set on them. We will be back either way. Thank you for a delicious meal with a lovely ambience.

This was the first time dining here and we weren't disappointed. Its great to be able to go to a restaurant and not be limited to vegan options.There was a nice and relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant, all tables were filled in the area we were sitting but there was plenty of distance between us all.The staff were friendly and considering the amount of diners in there, the food came out quickly.All of our food was delicious and none of it lacked flavour. My husband isn't vegan but commented on how much the pie filling was like chicken and how nice it was.We both had 3 courses and spent sub £40.Will definitely be returning.
