Oldham's Fish Restaurant in Southend-on-Sea

Great service so nice to be greeted with a smile. The food was excellent. I reall enjoyed it.

Went to to this fish and chip restaurant Saturday the 23rd of April before we went to the palace theatre for a show , we were greeted with a smile and great food , basic tables and chairs at the back of the premises but the food and service more than makes up for that , highly recommended.

This is by far one of my favorite fish and chips in the UK.Oldhams serves some of the best fish and chips I've had in a very long time. It is so good, I had to go not once but twice while in Westcliff.Fish and Chips is iconically British for me and when done well, it's a cornerstone of British Food Culture. There is something so special about fish and chips done well!Three cheers to Oldhams for an incredible fish and chip meal. My fish had an absolutely fantastic crunchy batter. The cod was perfectly cooked, flaky and moist. Seeing each meal made to order with consistent quality is so wonderful to see. You all should really be proud of the excellent quality meals you provide for the community.The chips that were a perfect thickness, soft and fluffy inside.The chef and staff at Oldhams are incredibly friendly and made me feel very welcomed. Oldhams will be on the top of my list every time I make a visit to Southend!

Very nice place. Family friendly. Fish and the chips was fresh. Kids meals were also very good. Highly recommend it to any one who is coming to Southend to try. Will be back if I am back in the area.

Can order outside from window so all too easy to get crafty chip butty when taking dog for walk. BUT it's well worth it, great food good price and lovely staff. Fish great and the best chicken nuggets made from breast meat. Yum

Visited Southend for the day & this F&C experience was well worth the walk along to Westcliff. The service & hospitality were best ever & the fish & chips were phenomenal!! Beautiful white fresh fish cooked in magical batter. We'll most certainly be back!! 👌👏👏👏

We arrived at 8.15pm, knowing they stop frying at 8.30pm. We were still able to order everything on the menu, freshly cooked for us. We sat outside as the restaurant was closed and were treated like VIP's. They are such friendly helpful people, serving great food at excellent value. We will definitely return.

Great fish & chips, served by friendly and helpful staff. They also have a quaint eat-in restaurant area if you’re wanting the eat-in rather than take away experience. They’ll package your order appropriately for either take home or eating in the park too. They even offered forks for us to eat in the park!

Tried this fish and chip shop and ate in and honestly a gem!2 cod and chips, a tea and a Dr pepperBig portions, crispy fish and spot on chips. The salad is a nice touch but probably wouldn't bother having it in the future but that's just personal preference. The price is right, the food is good, felt nice and socially distanced and cool that the eating in area is so separate from the food making.I look forward to seeing these guys again ✨
