Have been looking forward to going in here when it reopened, so I was disappointed when I walked past today and saw a dog sitting at table level, not very hygienic. Glad I saw it though because now I won't be going in which is a shame because it is just round the corner.

Excellent little cafe, with lovely staff and a great menu. Very reasonably priced too. Special shout out to the lovely Amy who works there. She was really nice, chatty and helpful. Would come back as the customer service, quality & value for money was great. :)

This is a great cafe because it has one of the best waitresses and cooks in the UK. Amy really makes both the cafe and the food come to life. If you want one of the best full English breakfasts in the Southend Area the head for the Pavilion Cafe and tell Amy what you want and she'll have it on a plate in front of you in minutes. Fantastic. You might think the place could do with a lick of paint but it would loose its authentic cafe feel. It's perfect.

I saw the reopening in the evening echo of The Pavilion with Mr Malcolm Thornton and The Lord Mayor.I was able to park nearby for a quick in and out. Unfortunately the new drive by camera car which the traffic wardens use to give tickets instantly is always patrolling the area and caught me - issuing me with a ticket. The food and drinks for the high price that they charge, is really low quality. This along with the slow service and the greasy smell, caused me to walk out. I shall not be eating in there again.

i prefer not to eat my breakfast smelling dogs that are let in, and smelling the cigarette smell on the server... wrong part of leigh to be charging the prices they charge.. £1.10 for a can, you must be joking.. i can see why it is empty

What has happened to the pavilion? Prices gone up. Lost our order, and 3 other lots of people. No longer the workman cafe it was. Staff still the same but the place is now trying to be something it isnt
