Pizza Express - Southend-on-Sea in Southend-on-Sea

The most amazing garlic bread I have ever had in my life !!! Was at another food outlet close by with my family and they didn't serve it in the menu ...so popped in there to take out ! Service was super fast .. extremely friendly service ..reasonable rates for the quality they deliver and waitress was so lovely ! All under 6 mins ..of pure yummyness !!!

This is a regular family outing for us. The service is fantastic and food amazing. Would highly recommended to anyone who appreciates quality

Ate in. Food was surprisingly delicious, but was slow to come out. Waitress was pleasant, but left during our meal, leaving us unattended. When we finally got the attention of another member of staff they said they weren't a waitress. Disappointing end to the visit.

We visited this pizza express on an afternoon / evening visit to Southend. I had previously enjoyed going to Pizza Express restaurants in past, but not so much this one...Staff were not particularly attentive to the customers, our children had kids meals but the drink (that it states is included with all kids meals) never turned up. The place got busier whilst we was there, but that just seemed to make the person serving want to spend less time as possible at our table. We sat nearer the back and it was also clear that staff spend a lot of time checking their mobile phones, which seemed quite unprofessional when we could see them doing it. I sort of feel there should be hand washing procedure after fiddling with your phone and before then handling food...didn't see it happen.Food was OK... pizza tasted OK, not the best we have had, but not terrible either. Wife had bolognese which she wasn't particularly keen on. Kids wanted a unicorn ice lolly for desert, they didn't have one so gave them the other ice lolly and just popped them on the table and legged it, without questioning if they wanted the kids brownie or ice cream instead.To be honest, I'm probably being generous with three stars, but they did seat us quickly, the place was fairly tidy and food was hot when we got it.

Booked in advance, ignored and weren't seated for the first 5 minutes through the door. restaurant was half empty and we were sat by the toilets and not allowed to move as they hadn't sanitised half the tables. Ordered drinks that arrived wrong, only 1 starter arrived on time. basically ignored throughout service. the food was fine when it arrived but parmesan and black pepper were only served upon request and had no choice as to quantity. Will not be returning.

Staff are fantastic, really busy Saturday but we was shown to our table quickly, drinks order taken promptly. Food order taken in good time and we didn't wait long for it to be served.

Great five course meal for 20.99 per person. Helped adapt the set meal for gluten free version. Excellent service, lovely staff. We wasn't rushed even know the restaurant was busy. Highly recommend

Went to the one in Southend on sea... and it wasn't a great experience.Our server seemed like she begrudged doing the job, so whilst she wasn't in ya face rude, the way she served was a little.. interactions were necessary, and short, and walked away a few times whilst my wife was still asking a question. Extra things were put on the table without any real interaction even though you had your hand out for, for example, a requested pizza cutter and it was almost thrown on the table even though your hand was out.. and I witnessed this with her interaction with other tables.. The pizza that came wasn't great and you ended up resenting spending your money there. For example the pizza my wife had. One tomato? A very meh pizza, from a pizza restaurant.I mean perhaps it was a busy day, give it a try. But I won't be going back any time soon

Went around half 1 on a Friday, wasn't too busy at all. Took a little while to get seated, but they only had one server on so that's understandable. Our waiter was so friendly and approachable, food came quickly and was hot and delicious. Really nice experience, definitely recommend

First time we’ve ever had a pizza express and it was delicious. Very reasonably priced and service was excellent.
