Rise and Shine Cafe in Southend-on-Sea

Came early Saturday morning to visit family near here and needed a big breakfast, popped in and had the best breakfast and experience. Breakfast was hot and not greasy and the service was fantastic, felt really welcomed and the price was great. We will be back and would highly recommend. Thanks guys

Excellent family cafe, wether you want a hot drink, full English breakfast, fish and chips or just a sandwich.When you visit you may recognise one of the staff, a friendly elderly gentleman who used to run the Pier Arches Cafe further down but now helps his daughter here. We've been going to Southend for years and always stop off and say hello and grab something to eat or drink, they do an excellent hot chocolate, great on a cold morning

A very big thank you to the owners of this cafe when they kindly assisted us today when our mother-in-law was not feeling too good. We were just passing by. Although they were in the process of closing they gladly made a cup of tea free of charge and a waited while my husband collected the car. It is so refreshing and their kindness meant a lot to us x

I had the breakfast and it was delicious. My partner had the lamb shank and said it was 5*. The staff are so welcoming and friendly.

Asked to change two items on the menu due to dietary requirements with one meal so they kicked a party of 8 away because the kitchen couldn’t do 2 eggs 2 sausages 2 bacon and mushrooms so went next door to Luigi cafe next door picture is of my breakfast before and after thank you

Excellent customer service and care, very friendly and helpful. Nice bit of food, just a shame we couldn't eat in due to restrictions. Will definitely eat here again. Thank you

Nicest staff ever. Each booth fits two people opposite each other company, so it’s a little smaller than it looks at first. However, the food was fresh, fried and exactly what we wanted.

Fab location right opposite the pier. Lovely place to sit and soak up the sun and people watch :) Not sure if the waiter is the manager or not but he's just the nicest guy, certainly service with a smile. Lovely coffee too ☕

Amazing food! Best coffee we've had in england and wonderful and friendly staff / customer service! Will come back from london to eat!! Indoor/outdoor seating available, english breakfast, lamb/chicken/beef to choose from. Almost on the shore very pleased!
