Roosters Piri Piri in Southend-on-Sea

The best, if not one of the best, piri piri chicken restaurants I've ever been to. This restaurant beats Nando's by a landslide, mainly because of how delicious and flavourful the food is. Not only this, but the prices are much better than Nando's and the staff are very nice, plus the restaurant always tends to be very clean. If you are visiting Southend as a tourist, or live in the city, this is still an amazing restaurant to go to if you want great food.

Amazing place, bringing great vibes with its friendly staff, prices are on point if not low for the quality and variety of food that they bring. Would highly recommend for a quick dinner decision, a night out at a restaurant or a takeaway/pickup. Amazing staff, fast preparation and incredible food quality! ⭐️

Very slow service and the meat hadn't been cooked all the way through

Absolutely appalling management and staff.It must be damn well hard to get a Zero rated hygeine inspection.How dare you open as a business selling food to people giving you their hard earned money, when you are too lazy, and incompetant to understand basic food hygeine, food storage and cleanliness. Outrageous.

Decent food, staff is friendly… there is a bit of a rancid stench however.

Came here with the Mrs and little one's yesterday as we where staying in Southend-on-Sea for a few days. I have to say the food was on point. I ordered the Grande (gourmet) burger which was very juicy and succulent (tasted better with the cheddar cheese), chips was skin on and tasted really nice. Mrs ordered the buffalo wings (peri peri hot flavour) they where awesome tasted amazing and full of flavour. Only thing we did not like much was the mash potato we felt it was very dry and needed to be alot more creamier. The service was excellent. Overall I would definitely recommend this place as the food was fire.

Substandard food. Decor was really nice . Food took too long to come out. We had 2 parties of 2 and a group of another 12 people who had come after us but their food was served before us. We were told 10 mins for the food but we waiting over 30 mins. Burgers weren't gourmet. Mash and sweet potato fries were really good. That's the highlight of the meal. We did have one asian gentle man come ask how was everything which was nice for a chicken joint. You dont get that often . If I was passing by and was hungry maybe I would eat here. But I wouldn't go out my way looking for a roosters peri peri any time soon.Burger with 1 side and drink was about 8 quid. So cant really argue with that

FINGERI LICKING GOOD! HALAL Probably the best piri piri chicken I've had. Hot was spicy enough. Mexican Flavour was nice and a bit different. Great quick service and good prices. Recommended and it's halal so good for Muslims.
