Saffron Lounge in Southend-on-Sea

not very friendly. my son is autistic and likes their lemon rice, and we’ve recently come from another restaurant ordering it, and decided next time we order a full indian we’ll go there, but got told off in store today and it was embarrassing, and we won’t be going back now. if they were unhappy doing it they should of said

Consistently high quality food. The staff are friendly and professional. We keep going back for a regular takeaway treat. Highly recommended.

Popped in on a quite Sunday night, on a spec visit, for a table for two. Staff were charming and the food spot on. Theyve kept their prices reasonable. 63 quid for a good feeding, including a 23 pound bottle of prosecco. Don't go if your in a hurry (which we were not).

Dont order takeaway 2 hrs from ordering and they dont answer phone. Was told 1 hr so ended up cooking (not happy as we had guests) spoke to restaurant to try and convey our concerns on customer service the person on phone was really rude and unhelpful. Wont use again as been customers for 7yrs and disgusted by lack of customer care 😒

me and my partner (Mrs Dampier-milton hall) wanted to thanks the chefs sons recommendation on this restaurant as the food was delicious and was the best Indian food we've had for a very long time, thank you very much!!! will defo order again!!!

Had take away s from this restaurant for a couple of years .been ok . Had to request a few times NO salt .we feel it’s not the same chef on all the time , tonight Sunday requested NO Salt ,ordered Tandori King Prawn ,what so salty will be up best part of the night drinking water , sorry Saffron , giving you a miss .Chambers .

Amazing service! Sarcasm is required at this stage. We didn't even get to chance to taste the soap as others have experienced. Which is a shame. Extremly disappointing with the attitude of one member of staff we met. Enforcing a unwritten rule, not written in the menu, of us having to order a minimum of 2 main courses for 2 people... He got very angry with us... We said don't worry then paid and left.

Wow..... The delivery was prompt on a busy Friday evening. The portion size was massive and the quality of the ingredients I've never seen such large chicken breast in a vindaloo !!! Never ordered from this place before, however I can now see myself being a regular!! Well done saffron lounge I'm a fully satisfied customer, next time I'll remember the £15 min order!!! First time myself and my husband had tried this little restaurant which is tucked away just off Hamelet Court Road. Nice evening with good food and service. Was a little pricey but worth it. Would definately visit again and recommend it to others
