Taj Mahal in Southend-on-Sea

This was honestly one of the worst Indian takeaways I've ever had. Cold, bland, small portions.

Order off of just eat it was bad the mixed grill tasted like it was cooked droped on the floor and then cooked again dry and burnt ,onion bargy was a ripoff the chick pea curry was a complete rip off bland never going back ill stick to my local or ill just cook it my self awful

Fantastic meal last night, fresh vibrant and delicious. Vegetable samosa starter, light crispy full of vegetables I could have eaten a few more of these. Tandoori king prawn korai which was excellent huge prawns and plenty of them with a fluffy garlic naan. Service was friendly and efficient.

Started visiting the Taj a couple of years back now as the quality and presentation of the food is streets ahead of ANY other Indian restaurants in and around Southend area. Was bit anxious on returning after lockdown but needn't have worried

Pretty good Indian food. The staff seemed somewhat annoyed by us, so it was not the best experience. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. It is good value for money.

Just popped by for dinner for the first time since moving round the corner and absolutely loved this place! 😋 We are regular customers of The Indian Diner in Eastwood and really thought that it could never be topped, but I think this place just stole first spot! Our new fave Indian restaurant. The dishes were tasty, garlic naan was the best we've ever had and the house white was very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant itself was very modern. Couldn't recommend enough 👌🏻

This is my go-to Indian in Leigh because it offers plenty of veggie options, including a few more inventive dishes. We rarely need to book a table during the week, so admitedly its often quiet and sometimes lacks atmosphere. On the up side, staff are always polite and food comes nice and quickly!

Just enjoyed a fantastic meal courtesy of Taj Mahal! We had in our bags along with our order a number of extras. The flavour of the food was also to die for. With it being delivered we expected the food to be warm, but it was still hot. Thank you to the staff at Taj Mahal!
