Went here this evening. Table next to us had to wait an hour for food. We didn’t wait that long but after having our poppadoms (£5.50) we had to wait for over 25 minutes before we were able to order.Food was bland, service was awful.Asked for the bill, took another 10 minutes so I went to the counter. Asked if I could offer constructive criticism about their service, they just shrugged their shoulders, didn’t care! Will not be back!

Poor service, uninterested staff & food was bland. Why we ended up paying for certain dishes that were grossly sub-standard I don't know...I'm kicking myself!!! Tried to pay & that took ten minutes - I wish I hadn't bothered & just left!!! How people get away with running a restaurant like this is beyond me?!?!

One of the worst service I had in my life they served the drinks after the main course

Very good food. Starter (kebab) was cooked perfectly and the main course (chicken pathia) had a really good taste. Next time I'm visiting Southend, I'll be back.

Great service, friendly professional staff, lovely freshly cooked food, especially the fish tikka tandoori dish, each dish & side dish delicious. Not oily but fragrant. Very reasonably priced. And they cope well with a sudden influx of 20 John Otway fans & served them well.

Customer service was poor, door constantly slamming with people going in and out.Worst part was the waiter collecting the dip pots, then refilling them to give to someone else 🤢 not sure if they realise COVID is still a thing! But the food was not too bad.

Most boring Madrass I've ever had. Was just chicken and sauce not a pepper or chilli in sight. Sorry I gave a two for friendly staff but wouldn't recommend.

This is Lee's partner .. food was good..Service was OK if you was able to get the waiters attention.. the waiters were extremely sexist and made many innuendos to support this .. even paying by my card and returning it to Lee .. toilet facilities were not adequate.. flush did not work and watered down ( almost empty soap) staff knew of problems but dismissed .. waiter made out he did not understand "manager "when asked !! Not adequate for the times we are in . Maybe this seems trivial but as a female I was deeply offended !

Food was delicious and appetizing. We had chicken tandoori as starters and it didn't disappoint. However dont order roasted papodum that was half cooked so really a waste of money. Naan and other stiffs were really good but do keep in mind it usually takes time to prepare. If you are running short of time and want a quick bite, this is not the place for you.

Best Indian food. Authentic taste. I live in Chelmsford and came to South end for short 2 day trip. Tried this restaurant as there are no good authentic Indian restaurant in Chelmsford. Original taste of India. Just super loved it.
