We came here for Sunday roast and was not disappointed. The whitebait and cockle chowder starter was of a generous portion size as was the roasts. I had the chef's platter for main which again was a fair sized portion. With your Sunday roast you get a cauliflower cheese as well which again was very nice. The server's here are friendly and are able to advise you on the dishes on the menu. You only get a two hour slot to eat your meal but that was plenty for us. If you want afterwards you can visit the bar for more drinks or sit outside.Parking here is a bit hit and miss but there is plenty of spaces within a 5 minute walk. There is disabled parking but there are a lot of cobblestones so going maybe a bit rough.Overall we will definitely be returning as the fish pie looked great!

We visited here on Thursday evening for a date night dinner.I’d been dying to try the chowder for a while, so had this as my starter and I was not disappointed! It was absolutely delicious and really beautifully presented in the small cob roll too. When our dinners came out, there was a very unfortunate incident whereby the waiter dropped the entirety of my partners plate and dinner all over him, ruining his clothes with grease and food stains. The male waiter (who transpired to be a supervisor) was very apologetic and took my partners dinner away to be remade. I asked him to also take mine and the sides we’d ordered because it was now going to go cold whilst waiting, and he refused to have another made, saying he’d ‘put it under the hot lamp and it would be fine’. I expressed my concerns that it wouldn’t be very fresh or hot, and he told me it would be all fine. After about 20 mins, and once my partner had gone to wash his top in the bathroom, the dinners were brought back out, and low and behold mine was STONE cold. I called him back over immediately, and told him that as I’d explained, my dinner was now cold where it had been sat for so long. He huffed, rolled his eyes and said he go and see how long it would be for another lot of ribs. I stopped him, explaining ‘No because then my partners dinner will be cold! Stop bringing out one meal at a time and just do us both fresh dinners like I asked in the first place. We’re here to eat together not separately’. He literally darted off across the restaurant without response, and 15 mins later I gave up and went to speak to a female whom I was told was the pub manager. She could not have been more professional and lovely. She immediately got two fresh dinners made for us, and told us if the clothes were completely ruined to send the dry cleaning bill or cost of the items to the restaurant for compensation.Once we’d finished, we went to pay the bill and found she’d taken all of the food off of the bill as a good will gesture! I was genuinely shocked as I only really expected for my partners dinner to be removed given the circumstances. I wish I’d taken her name so I could really thank her, but she really turned our rather rubbish evening into a good one, and she’s an asset the to company by far!

Really good quality food and place in a perfect location. Nice atmosphere great place to go in the summertime I'm while enjoying the beach scene on the benchs with a cold beer.

Although it is a very busy place the service is brilliant and the food is lovely. We had the Sunday mixed roast, only complaint is they don't give enough gravy! We need a jug each lol! Lovely place to go, recommend it.

Quality pub restaurant in the Old Leigh area. Pics are of White Christmas cocktail and Skate Wing. Very good with a view over the harbour.

Was at the place with my family for dinner without reservation 👍Waiting at the entrance few minutes in a tiny space just in a front of the toilets entrance 🤮Finally a boy comes to us and said the next table it's available in 5 - 10 minutes 🤔 and if we are happy to order same drinks at the bar (our little one she's near 6 year's old) 🤔 we said OK 🙄 from the bar area I saw four empty tables with no waitres doing the set up for the next customers 🤔 after 5 minutes someone left but that boy didn't have any intention or interest to give as a table 😤My onest advice it's to AVOID the place instead you want to be disrespected & p@@@ off by uninterested staff 👎👎👎

We had an awesome afternoon here with really attentive staff, good drinks and nice food. We booked a table for 2 hours, and had constant and attentive services from really friendly waiting staff, everything was ordered and brought to the table, food and drink. I had the chicken bacon and avocado salad, was lovely. The atmosphere was buzzing and the views of the sea were lovely.

Amazing food and beautiful view. I would highly recommend the fish and chips. It is a pity a number of the staff members were quite rude, including one of the hostesses that is your first point of contact.

Superb experience. Came on a Sunday, massively busy and yet a perfect service with kind staff and incredible food. The best fish and chips we've had in a very long time. Will definitely come back!

We didn’t book but plenty of tables outside to enjoy the sunshine. Good atmosphere and although service was a little slow, the food quality more than makes up for it. We visit every time we’re in Leigh.
