First time we went to this pub and we had an awful experience. First of all my toddlers cucumber and carrot sticks were so old and dry they were turning white. My order, a vegan burger with mango and sweet chilli sauce came without any sauce at all because *1st excuse - wasn’t sure if it was vegan so left it out. *real reason- they had run out of sauce so I was left with a dry chickpea burger in a bun. My partner had a bad meal too. Wouldn’t waste money here again

Lovely family pub, nice place to get a Sunday roast. Lamb shank is really nice, chips are hot, worth the money.

Lovely staff but many items off the menu. Shame as lovely roast but no cauliflower cheese. Nothing veggie to add to the mixed sharer. Kind, helpful staff but would put us going there again.

Was my daughters birthday. About 10 of us around 4pm was no food. Reason we went so wasn't happy person had couple drinks and left

The food was lovely and the waitress managed to get our order in promptly, ahead of the slightly bigger table. However, it seemed that maybe the waitress was having a bad day today, the disabled toilet was clean and spacious, but the lock was a little tough. Being disabled it is hard to find restaurants that I can sit comfortably at, as they are generally too low, but not at this place and it was decorated nicely with some seasonal decorations and mini Christmas trees on the tables. Nice touches. I will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu, thank you for dining us without a booking.

Very nice food, well cooked. We went for a late lunch and had a very good meal. We sat in 'the snug', which is a really pleasant part of the main eating area. The service was great, food was served quickly and the bar area is great for a before or after meal drink. Prices are also reasonable and there are offers on different days.

Service and food was amazing!! A few things were forgotten but quickly resolved. They were fully booked so we sat and ate in the bar area. Ordering through the app was quick and easy. Being fully booked meant food took a little longer but worth the wait.

We visited The Rose Inn Friday evening for a meal. The atmosphere was pleasant and calm. The staff friendly and helpful (especially the waitress) who told us what few things were no longer on the menu that day and was honest and upfront that the food might take quite a while due to new people in the kitchen.I was delighted to be offered a vegan vegetarian menu (a nice touch). There was some good choices and I went for the halloumi salad which looked good and was enjoyable. The only thing that wasn't so good about it was the dressing was quite strong and overwhelmed the other flavours. I would of preferred being able to pour over the right amount for me.My fellow diner chose the hunters chicken and loved it.We waited in the garden which is lovely and were pleasantly surprised that our food only took 30 mins. A lot less time than we were warned it might be. Altogether a really lovely experience.

Went for a meal last night with my family. I had the mixed grill which was lovely. There was a nice atmosphere and the waiting staff were very attentive. My only critique would be the food took a little long to arrive (45-50 minutes), but it didn't marr the overall experience as we were having fun chatting and drinking anyway.

Lack of staff is absolutely shocking! 1 waitress to serve a very busy pub on Bank holiday is a joke. The labdlord / manager is a grumpy guy who surely never received any training in clients satisfaction management. Won't be returning soon.
