The Slug and Lettuce, Southend in Southend-on-Sea

Came here yesterday for a quick drink before dinner. It’s a nice place, prices are good too as they do 2x1 on cocktails. The down side of it in my opinion is that the cocktails weren’t that good.

Lovely cocktail spot, quite girly for those girls-out occasions! Good food, with plant-based and small plate options. The garden is something different, wow!

Such a lovely place. Was in town with my sister and son, popped in. We had the chicken feast for friends so much but lovely. My son enjoyed his meal fish chips and corn on the cob. Jason was so nice. Helpful and friendly...

Had steak with all the trimmings a belated birthday meal with my best friend it was as amazing. Never had a bad meal in here. Jacob was brilliant and made sure we had all we needed. How your served makes a meal good or great. Thank you Jacob xx

Went in on a weekday afternoon for a quick bite and a drink. It was quiet enough.. not surprisingly. The girls were lovely attentive and took great care of our every demand. Looved my drink!!! A recommendation by the girls. And the food portion and taste was good. The decor and ambience was so lovely. Can't wait to be back on a night out! Thank you girls!

Visited this place on the weekend Saturday. Was a great night very busy and lively. One of the best places in Southend. Shout out to the manager Jason, thanks for the help and recommendations. And then Popped in yesterday Tuesday with pals, wasn't to busy, but it's a weekday. But all good, and will definitely be coming again on the weekend

Went to slug and lettuce yesterday for mates birthday bottomless brunch. Unfortunately it was not what we expected, was miss sold to us as a fun and party vibe. This was not what we got. Music play list and slow service due to only having 1 member of staff working.The only saving grace was 241 cocktails and nice decor and food was OK.

Went here for my friend's birthday, had so much fun. Staff looked after us and had a great time. Boozy brunch in Southend felt like London! Special thanks to like and lead who deserve special thanks for just making the day great. Definitely recommend!
