The Tasty in Southend-on-Sea

First time using The Tasty and I only had the Mushroom curry that came with either Chips or Rice for £4.90. At that price for both items I was not expecting too much. However the curry was nice and the chips were ok, they were not the best chips I have had from similar establishments but they were plentiful and did their job.I went in to purchase .y food as online there is a minimum order of £13 , a delivery fee of £1 and probably a 50p handling charge. Plus the items I had would have been £6.10 and not £4.90. So save a few quid and go and get it if you are near by. Definitely worth checking out.

Food is delicious and there's alot of it. Arrives hot also. The best hands down.

Always good when I'm coming home in the motor

This used to be my go to takeaway for ribs but something has changed.A couple of weeks ago they got the order wrong and by the time the correct one arrived everything was cold.Last night the capitol ribs arrived and it looked and tasted like they had been in a warming oven for hours, all the meat was dry and hard. Time to move on I think.

We ordered for a family of 5 - 2 adults 3 kids.2 x chicken curry2 x egg fried rice1 x boiled rice1 x omelette1 x chipsThe curry’s were very watery, the taste really wasn’t pleasant. The chicken was also pinky inside. Extremely disappointed. Food wasn’t enjoyed or eaten well. Had to go into the bin. Will not order from again. Deserves a refund to be fair. Shocked.

A victim of their own success. So busy now the foods gone downhill a bit. I used to really rate this place but last night the mushroom curry was dire.... Watery and tasteless. Everything else was good but not top notch like it used to be

Two hour wait (when originally wait time was roughly 1hr 15mins), forgave that as it was a Saturday. However food was a disappointment since last order. Prawns were sickly sweet, black bean chicken was brand other than the random kick of chilli, even the prawn crackers tasted bland. Only the noodles and dumplings were good.

We used to order from here a lot, but moved away several years ago. We collected a few dishes this evening, been left VERY disappointed, nothing like we remember. We were really looking forward to this, sadly what they served up tonight was just awful, time to look for an alternative. One of us ordered banana fritters, disgusting to look at and taste.
