TruLeigh Scrumptious in Southend-on-Sea

Lovely little place cream tea is my fav the scones are to die for and the cakes are my husbands fav been here loads of times for breakfast and have spread the word at work well done girls keep up the good work 💞

Fab as always, service is excellent as is the food. Charming little cafe with a fab menu, food tasty and beautifully presented. Great value can fully recommend the cheese and beans on toast and the apple pie and custard. Due to its popularity it is always busy so reserving a table is recommended

This little cafe/tea room is lovely. We stumbled upon it in Leigh having only ever been there once before. It was heaving with people eating what looked like delicious aternoon teas. The plates were full of lovely looking scones, sandwiches and cakes and I have to say, if I was going for an afternoon tea, that's where I'd choose to go. We jyst had coffee and toasted teacakes and they were great. The atmosphere was buzzing and the service was quick. Nice place to visit.

My husband and i and our mums visited yesterday for early Mothers Day treat. Lovely little quaint tearoom. Staff were attentive, asking if everything was OK. Unfortuately we had a few hiccups, the coffee pot leaked all over the table. I would have expected the table cloth to be changed. The waitress brought replacement pot, however this turned out to be tea and not coffee. The coffee was luke warm. We asked for it to be extra hot on our top up, however was the same. The cakes looked and tasted good, the sandwiches a little on the small side. To be honest I was disappointed. I expected more from this lovely little tearoom.

Lovely atmosphere but £7.00 for a sandwich that would only satisfy a small child. Tiny! A few crisps were put around the sandwich that were extremely stingy too. Very disappointing and my husband and daughter left hungry

We ordered scones and it was served with cream which is expired.And they tried to convince me that it was frozen.No matter! The date was passed!Even no apology.

Absolutely amazing ham and mushroom omelette and lemon meringue pie. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic food, well priced. Excellent sausages and sour dough bread. The staff were friendly and the place was very clean and has a nice small garden at the back you can sit in with umbrellas. Good selection of fresh cakes.

This was my first visit, and I was not disappointed. The staff were lovely and very helpful, and even gave me a face mask on arrival as I had forgotten mine. We ordered off the breakfast menu and was very happy with the food. We also had cakes, which were delicious. Will definitely be returning.
