Waitrose in Southend-on-Sea

This is one of my favourite Waitrose stores. Excellent selection of quality. Disappointed the pharmacy no longer at this site.

Well first and last time I will go here. Home delivery person nearly run in to in the store. Staff just standing around talking. It seemed we where in their way.Prices expensive compared to m&s and there cheap range wasn't that much cheaper than full price. Save your time and money go to lidl they have friendly staff and prices are so much better. Sorry very disappointed

Popped in for bread , mid afternoon but no fresh bread left. Had a lovely pot of tea and cake though.

Went in to use the post office, around 12pm ish. There were 2 people at the desk, so the small queue that was there moved quickly. The cashier was friendly and engaging. Interacting with a laugh and a smile, while putting the parcels through the computer. Once paid she wished us a nice day. Lovely lady! Would go back again based on this experience.

Really enjoy the variety Waitrose has on offer. The sushi bar is amazing!Sadly the cafe lets the store down a bit. I've experienced poor service there a few times. The food is almost adequate but could use some revision - a rethink with a focus on portion size and presention. Additional staff training would be beneficial.The shop has plenty to offer, especially for the discerning foodie. There is also a good range of organic produce and other organic and gluten-free products available.

Great store with the added bonus of John Lewis and somewhere to buy a bite to eat. Lovely products, good staff and nice wide aisles. The reason I've dropped a star is because a lot of comparable products are available elsewhere at cheaper prices. Waitrose should review this more frequently because ultimately and especially with rising costs everywhere else, people will slowly move to shops with equal quality and more realistic prices.

Had brunch which was totally underwhelming. Coffee was bland week but left an aftertaste. Bacon roll had streaky bacon on it which was 50%fat. Only decent part were the staff, making up fresh ham & cheese croissant as they had all gone!

Lots of parking and nice spacious store. Staff are always helpful and polite. Really nice sushi counter. There is also an on-site cafe with a good selection of drinks and eats. In-store post office.

The quality and choice of products is excellent. I just wish I lived closer because this would be my choice of supermarket. Come on Waitrose, open a store in Chelmsford please, it seems almost criminal that the county town of Essex doesn't have a branch!

Excellent for foods you may not get in other well known supermarkets. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. So convenient, b&q on other side of roundabout and this waitrose has a petrol station.
