This deli has been established since 1978 so that speaks for itself; to sustain a business for this long you must be doing something right. The team here will help and guide you through any food questions so that you get the best produce for your needs. I enjoy the great selection of salamis and olives especially. They also do lovely cantuccini and pastries to eat on the go if you fancy a quick treat. I needed some double zero flour on my last trip to make pizza. It’s always buzzing with people but service is quick - they’re not slow, just popular so be prepared to queue for 5-10 mins at busy periods. It’s well worth the wait.

If I could move from the North West, I certainly would to enjoy the best quality Deli products money can buy! Whenever I visit family in St Albans, I always love buying as much as I can to bring home and gift to family and friends.... Tony and his wonderful Staff, especially Joe are a credit and I applaud them especially for their dedication and service throughout this unprecedented year.

Being an italian living in St Albans this shop is a dream come true, they have delicious and truly authentic italian produce and i am never disappointed when I shop there. From the cured meats, the cheeses, the biscuits and sauces, the snacks, the variety of pasta i wouldn't know what to recommend to buy first, just go there and buy everything LOL. Moreover, the kindness of Tony and his staff really makes me feel like being back in italy shopping in my neighbourhood "salumeria". I will keep coming back to shop at buongiorno Italia, truly worth it.

I highly recommend visiting this super friendly Italian deli in St Albans, Hertfordshire. I had easily the best cheese in St Albans. The Italian coffee served was perfect. Really enjoyed the spicy pasta sauce too. I'm going back soon for some fresh fruit & hams as part of a planned alfresco treat. I really enjoyed the old world vibe of chatting to the owner and getting recommendations on what tastes would suit me. Thanks!

I love this place. As well as being the finest Italian deli in St Albans it also has that inimitable feel a food store gets when the owner both loves the products he's selling and cares enough to remember every customer's name. I had a plate of salume, olives, bread, and cheese there today, sitting in the small eating area in front of the store, and six hours later I still feel happy. Good food and friendly people does that.

I absolutely adore this place. Blood oranges are wonderful. But the buffalo mozzarella is their golden goose, it's better than any mozzarella I have tried even in Italy.
