Burston Garden Centre Restaurant in St Albans

Amazing place with Aquatics and Garden centres, it was nice to see that exists such place like that. Good quality at a good price, different choices. Love it.

We went to visit Santa in his grotto and it was absolutely lovely. The decorations made it feel really magical. It wasn't busy or crowded and the 'elves' and Santa made such an effort to engage with our two young children. It's the best Santa's grotto we've been to. The gifts given to my two young children were great too. For the price it is really good value.

First visited here on a coach package holiday during the return journey home, an unscheduled stop-off, but well worth it! A well stocked and organised garden centre and aquatics store with a wide range of associated products plus an excellent restaurant that coped admirably well with the arrival of our coach party all eager to sample the food on the fairly extensive menu. Before we continued on our way home we had a chance to thoroughly browse the items on offer and my wife was really impressed with the Christmas Decorations on display and for sale, it being her favourite time of the year, and obviously couldn't resist buying some as gifts for ourselves and family! Our second visit was a rendezvous, as a half way point between Norfolk and Dorset, with my wife's son and daughter-in-law to exchange Christmas gifts and to be able to speak "in the flesh" instead of via the phone! It still impressed, no doubt we'll be doing the same again here!

The St. Albans independent Burston Garden Centre is very large. This is near another large independent garden centre Ayletts, 2 miles away. This one has more indoor space, so the shop is better stocked.It is tricky to find the entrance as it is not well posted and the parking area is small.It's definitely worth a visit. A little more thought about layout, stock and access, and it would be 5 stars.

As a garden centre I was not expecting superb food or service; the menu offered was reduced but ok. We were served mediocre quality food, and the srervice was mediocre too. Tables weren't cleared fully or quickly either.

Love this place! Knowledgable staff, fantastic range of plants. All non gardening products a little pricey, but a very good selection not found elsewhere.

My friend and I were looking for plants/plant pots for gifts and this place had everything and more that we wanted! It was so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing to look at all the knickknacks.

Took our little one to meet Father Christmas last week and was really impressed by both the Christmas decorations to buy and the displays they had throughout the Garden centre which really made his experience one to remember. The grotto was excellent and the staff were really enthusiastic making it a joy to be part of. We didn't really take the time to look at the aquatics and pond supplies but the whole complex did look very impressive. We'll be back!
