Carmelo's in St Albans

Unfortunately we have since had a very disappointing experience. Placed an online order for delivery. Waited 80 minutes. Phoned for an update where the chap was very rude to me saying he had no driver and couldn't deliver. I explained I wasn't to know that and if he'd phoned me I would have collected. He said he was too busy and even suggested he was burning other customers food whilst having to talk to me. Won't use again after being spoken to like that!Previous review that we gave 5 stars toWe trusted Carmelo’s to cater our party. We popped in and chatted to them and they advised correctly how many pizza’s we’d need. They reliably delivered 9 pizza every hour for three hours. The pizzas arrived hot and intact and were a big hit with our guests. Tasty authentic pizza from friendly staff.

Amazing, simply amazing. Food is top notch, cosy yet spacious, very friendly staff, pizza was sublime, simple yet FRESH and delicious. Definitely going back to try the rest of menu. It’s just impossible to be disappointed if you tried.

Had a great breakfast roll one of us had bacon the other had sausage. There was 2 sausages in the roll nicely flavoured and decent size, plenty of bacon also served with a very small amount of salad garnish. We also had a latte each, would highly recommend both for service and friendliness of staff. Place was absolutely spotless and was cleared and cleaned quickly after each use. Will definitely be visiting again.

Fabulous evening! Delicious pizza, freshly prepared and lovely staff. We will be back!Great detour off the North Orbital down to the south coasts. Location is now saved in My Google map for future trips.

Myself and my daughter arranged a surprise birthday for my wife for 30 people, we had a GREAT night, despite the large group of friends all the meals came out together and everything was hot, and the food was superb with plenty of choice to suit everyone's requirements. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, even the chef came out to sing happy birthday to my wife.Ample parking in the street and a large free car park behind the restaurant.Really recommend you pay them a visit.Thanks to everyone at Carmelos

Visited here for the first time this evening.Such a warm and friendly place the staff where very friendly and chatty.The food was gorgeous.My son had the pizza and said it was the nicest pizza he’s ever had.We will definitely be back!

A great late breakfast. Tasty and ambiance was good. A little expensive. Service was slow. Parking outside free.

Excellent food from native Italian chef and source chef.

I visited this place by chance while away on business and cannot get enough of this fabulous place. I will drive from our of town just to come back most definitely. Vincenzo the chef is a true Italian chef to the core. The food was simply beautiful. Elegant design of the dishes was wonderful. He was kind enough to make something for me off the menu. The dish was done to perfection.! Bravo Vincenzo. Fabulous service to boot. I will definitely be coming back again. Thanks again.

Loved it; the food, ambiance, staff and the chef!! We had such an amazing experience. The chef's special, tiramisu is a must try. Will visit soon again to try more dishes in the menu.
