Charlie's in St Albans

My flat white was wonderfully made: right temperature, intense and smooth foam. Friendly service.

It is one of the better coffee places in town. It is light roast kinda specialty coffee. They also sell croissants and bagels and a few other treats which are good quality. You can sit outside, it is sunny from the morning if it is a clear day. The downside is that it is on the main road which is noisy and there is no indoors when it rains. Never seen the latteArt as in the photo. I should ask maybe next time.

I use to go to this small cafe during my lunch break as I’m working from home, the coffee and the hot chocolate are really nice! Personally for me the coffee is a little bit strong but I like to put sugar on it. Staff is really friendly and always giving conversation when you’re waiting for your coffee.

Had a great coffee and the selection of sweet things were very tempting. Few more savouries would be great. Served by a polite and smiley server, didn’t catch her name but had a lovely Irish accent.

Loved this little cafe, coffee was great. I had a Cortado and my partner a flat white. Staff were friendly. No toilets, but you can pop next door if you are a customer which is great. Outside seating too. Thanks guys we will certainly visit again on our next visit to St Albans.

Favourite coffee place and barista in the UK hands down. Try it for yourself.Charlie serves coffee at the station weekday mornings 6:30-9/9:30am and in the shop Tuesdays - Saturdays. Check the website / FB for shop opening times.The food is also exceptional and locally sourced yumminess.

Awesome little place couple minutes from the Station! Attention to detail of the place is incredible. Great coffee that is sourced selectively and sustainably. Staff are so friendly 😁 The once a month Coffee-inspired Cocktails Night is AMAZING! Live in London and it’s always a reason to go St Albans!

Great coffee, HasBean as their house too. A proper speciality coffee shop. Highly recommend as a pro barista!
