Curry Leaf in St Albans

Order (this will be my standard request) ££20-25 for two people; restauranteur's choice. Chicken in a curry version of bisto.Chicken Madras: see above with a tablespoon or more of hot chilli powder ( all the heat, but no lasting flavour)All in all, if I were on a night out with a sports team (choose as appropriate), if better alternatives were shut, we would have food from here, and not fear poisoning. However a sub-continental gastromic feast it truly isn't.

Got my order completely wrong then when i phoned they wasnt a bit interested in correcting it. It cost me £15 for a curry & bombay potato they forgot the rice of all things!!After a long day at work these guys can certainly put you in a bad mood delivering half of your order with a foul attitude.Deffo don't waste your time im going to my usual indian (the rice colney heath) 😡😡

very poor quality customer service, rang them up to say the foo was late and they were very rude to me. the food was over an hour late and was very poor. They have gotten some of the order wrong and most of the food was cold! my pregnant partner could not eat the food as it was cold and could have given her food poisoning.

After our favourite Curry restaurant closed its doors in St. Albans, we started looking for a replacement. Based on only a single dish (Chef's special), this one is looking good.Delivery was very fast and the food was very nice. We'll try a couple of other dishes over the next few weeks, hopefully they are just as good.

We have been using Curry Leaf for years but tonight had nothing but hassle. Out order took an hour and 50 minutes to then arrive luke warm. I then phoned to advise them and was told there's nothing they can do as it's the cold weather! The guy on the phone clearly couldn't be bothered to work tonight and had no customer service skills what so ever. Will not be using them again.

I'm Hollie Burton and I made my mother, Sam Burton, dash all the way to curry leaf which took 20 minutes. She could have just popped to our curry house on the corner of our road but I said I wouldn't eat me curry without curry leafs nauns, omg they are by far the best I've ever tasted. Brilliant news

Lovely Indian place with an interesting menu of Indian dishes I haven't seen in many places. They are also willing to cater to your needs so just ask the chef to throw something together for you.

Consistently delicious!Feel slightly upset when we visit other curry houses as they are never as all-round as tasty as they are at Curry Leaf. One place might give you a great curry, but then the rice won't be as nice. Or another you might get a nice naan, but the curry will be bland.With the Curry Leaf, there is no compromise – everything is consistently excellent – and we have been buying our curries from here for the last three years. Loyal fans!

I have ordered from this place a few times and have not been disappointed once. This is also taking into account some friends of mine that fancy themselves and connoisseurs in Indian cuisine! I was genuinely impressed with the standard of food that we got from here. It was more restaurant standard that got delivered rather than typical standard of a delivery if that makes sense?! The food arrived quickly and was really hot, so must have been literally straight from the pan into the containers. The chicken tikka balti was divine and I carried on eating it well past being full up. The naan breads are yummy and that is in every variety that they do. Light and fluffy and if you go for a flavoured one you can actually tell straight away which one it is as they are flavoured really well. The madras and Korma were also of an excellent standard. So, this will remain in the top selection of places that we order from and just remembering what it was like the last time as I write this review, I am thinking that I might just well order one again tonight :)
