Great buzzy ambiance. Great staff so attentive at just the right moments. Food was on point. Highly recommend.

Really attractive historic pub; now most definitely a gastropub. The front bar area is quite small but very well appointed. Slightly eclectic decor and lovely eclectic staff add to its charm. Very popular, so you may struggle to find a seat at busy times. Good choice of drinks and food is available in this bar area.Haven’t eaten in the restaurant since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic but most of the original staff remain, so I assume that it’s still excellent.Highly recommended.

Sunday roast dinner as it should be but to often it is not ! I had the roast beef cooked to perfection along with all the trimmings ..Sorry I did not take a picture of the roast potatoes, I was to busy eating them. A must have for all visitors and locals.

Awesome. Food was brilliant and the staff were great too. My kids shared a portion of fish and chips and it came as two plated-up portions. Thanks!

This place always delivers superb food and atmosphere and a good wine list.I celebrated my birthday there this week and had 3 course and a bottle of amarone. Great buzz in the bar and the restaurant. Top evening.

Good cheer but bad beer.Even when told the Titanic Porter Beer was off I was not offered an alternative drink. A second prompt to the alternative owner was required.Bar staff & owners were however very friendly and offered a free drink and a refund.Very poor phone signal in the area.

Love this place. Been here a number of times and everything is always great. Service was good, waitresses friendly and helpful. Food was amazing as usual. I did think the prices had increased slightly but it wouldn’t stop me going again.

Fantastic small bar at front of restaurant. Great selection of real ales (including fine Belgian beers) and gins. Really friendly funny people behind the bar. Quirky decoration - lots of interesting stuffed animals. Great bar!

We had a lovely meal here on a Tuesday lunchtime. We were the only ones eating but the food & service was excellent. They also have some lovely craft beers - IPA & Stouts/Porters. We had the 3 courses for £29pp option.
