Saw they did gluten free batter so we ordered the cod and chips to eat in. The size of the fish was generous, the batter light and crispy, and the chips were the best. The place was well presented and super clean. Best fish and chips we've had for many years. My partner is a Coeliac so it was so nice for him to find gluten free fish and chips but they did warn us it would be cooked in the same fryer as the other batter however he was absolutely fine.Would highly recommend.

Amazing fish, mine was massive, and meaty! The chips were good too. Had curry sauce and mushy peas which were nice added extras.

Sitting here right now, inside at a well dressed table, with the biggest plate of Calamari rings and chips I’ve ever seen! Super hot, proper crispy and perfectly cooked calamari!Excellent value, excellent food and super friendly staff!

Cooked to order. Walked home,12 minute walk, was still piping hot. Batter crisp as was the chips both non greasy. Only one word to describe the Cod and Plaice..............Superb.

Best part was the service. They were friendly, courteous and could not do too much for us in making us welcome. Prompt in serving up freshly prepared food.Fish and chips was fresh and beautifully crisp. Generous portions.High standard of cleanliness including toilets. Convenient setting, just off the main drag in Saint Albans.Prices seemed, at face value, a little on the high side. But we dined in, had a lit of food and received 5 star service.

First rate fish and chips! The service was outstanding; everyone was very kind, polite and helpful. There's a very good menu - lots to choose from, including a fully licensed bar. I had the cod and chips which was really really good. It's not the cheapest place but there's oodles of quality.

The service was fast and the food very hot but the food was not that great, it was very bland and didn't have that good taste, but the place is very clean and tidy and friendly and decorated very nice for sitting in just over priced also. It's a shame the food let's this place down as all else for very good service.
