The pastries and sandwiches are so fresh and delicious and coffee is so good! love the cafe!

Lots of delicious and fresh baked goods. It gets really busy, but they are fairly fast. Seating inside and outside, but would recommend getting there early if you want a seat.

Gluten free sourdough loaf not much bigger than a tennis ball over-priced at £4.30. As bread and less so as toast it has a terrible after taste. M & S gluten-free range if far superior and cheaper! Will not be buying again EVER

Cute cafe in St Albans town. Only had a small meal to takeaway which was really nice but a bit expensive £5.70

Love their San Fransisco sourdough and the amount of variety they offer for pastries. I get a different thing every time and it’s always good.Today I got a pain au chocolat, which was lovely and buttery and crisp with nice soft chocolate inside, as well as an oat flat white which was perfect ☕️

The taste of the products is not as good as the appearance. The products are all very nice but not the "wow, this is unbelievable".I would definitely go back, I definitely enjoyed eating there.Seating is very cramped and everyone is packed in. More than a little cosy, so no quiet confidential chats.

Terrible Service!! I spontaneously dropped in to the St Albans branch to try this out as a new branch has opened in my local town of Harpenden. I only had cash on me. I ordered coffees and a pastry and went to pay but was told by the server that they could not take cash. I explained that cash was all I had on me and even said I wouldn’t take any change. The server refused to give me my coffees and poured them down the sink in front of me.!! A very disappointing and upsetting experience- needless to say I won’t be back and am unlikely to visit the Harpenden branch either!!

Lovely bakery with amazing food. I had the cinnamon bun which was excellent - not too sweet. Can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area to try more!

Bank holiday walk around St Albans...so busy this day. Needed a light lunch and stopped off at Gail's. I got a delicious salad pot (mushroom, freekah and more) but couldn't resist a large and tastily sweet pain au chocolat. Always great food here.

Really nice atmosphere, staff are polite, good service, it's cosy, good selection of teas, cakes and light snakes - all tasty. However their portions could be bigger. The variety of bread they have is great especially the sourdough.
