I like the decor but the service was non-existent. During a quiet time. The fire was on and the food was good, which helped. Not sure if the steamed vegetables were actually steamed or a microwave packet

Just had lunch there and food is good. We did have to wait quite a while, but apologies were given a couple of times and that was appreciated. A nice local for us.

Menu choice for Xmas meal not available on the day and mushroom starter very over cooked. However, meal reasonable with good service and nice wine. Nice atmosphere too and very reasonable price.

Very disappointed having taken my elderly mum in on a cold and windy day for a warm up, to be served a lukewarm jacket potato on a freezing cold plate. I don't think I'll be visiting again. I have since heard a number of other people say this pub has gone downhill. Such a shame, as it was always the best one in the area.

Can't fault it really, just had a quick bite and as expected for breaded mushrooms and wings. Asked for sauce on the side got a massive pot! Was served by a friendly efficient staff member. Good visit.

I was disappointed with my Sunday roast. It wasn’t horrible or anything but the beef was tasteless and portion sizes very small compared to other pubs in the area.The staff seemed lovely people and it’s a nice place.

Huge pub, very much geared-up for family meals. Lots of space and decent beer/wine selection.Meal prices are very reasonably for the area and portion sizes are good - so ideal if you’re feeding a family.For me, too many of the accompaniments are from the freezer - vegetables, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, etc. - but understandable if you’re serving this volume of covers at this price. I’d personally rather pay more for a family pub with fresher ingredients. But that’s not a criticism of The King William!
