Mad Squirrel Tap & Bottleshop in St Albans

A nice pub just behind the St.Albans cathedral. A lot of tap beer. They serve food and be aware when they say 8s spice is mean super spices. Overall is a good place. Nice garden behind to relax.

Very very good place with some incredible choice of beers and gin. Very good veggie pizza as well. Super friendly staff. This is a great place to spend time chilled time with friend

Amazing selection of beer, delicious food and friendly staff!

It's early doors, so very quiet, butgood range of beers (2 on hand pump and about 12 on Keg tap). The peanut stout was excellent and not too heavy! One of the best bars in St. Albans for beer selection.

Staff were really friendly, the beer was great overall, we had a good time trying out different beers in either half or third pints and then picking up full pints of our favourites. I would definitely recommend the stout, it tastes pretty good and hits like a train. This a great place to go if you fancy some interesting flavour combinations.

Nice atmosphere, great view and awesome beer. A lot of options. The service was very kind too.

Chilled place with a great vibe! Mad Squirrel has so so many home brewed beers to choose from that you could be there all day (and night)! All on tap as well is a bonus! 😁 Centrally located right next to the cathedral...very helpful if you've decided to try every beer, and need a point of reference to figure out which direction home is 🤣

Good pizza, presonnaly I enjoyed the meat feast... Some really interesting beers and ales and you can order by 1/3 of pint so it's easy to try many of them at once, also amazing view of the church.

Great Brewery Tap, located between the Clock Tower and Cathedral. Great range of craft beers and ciders available and friendly staff.The outside area, overlooking the Cathedral, is one of the best places in St Albans for a warm-weather drink. Now in winter, this area is covered and heated.This place deserves to thrive, when the world returns to some kind of post-Covid normality.

Excellent example of what a new and modern brewery tap can be. Fantastic range of beers, tasty authentic pizza...all very reasonable. Staff knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Also cool events like tap takeovers and a beer garden with cathedral views.
