Good old fashioned all day full English breakfast and variations on the menu. Staff are very friendly. The place has been around for longer than I can remember so you know its great value for money and also very popular on weekend mornings after a heavy night!

Very good doorstep slabs of toast. Marmite and marmalade on the side in cute little dishes for diy spread to your liking. Nice cuppa, two teabags in the pot.

Appalling attitude of owner shouting across the cafe telling me and my wife to leave because we had a little dog with us. I asked the reason why he has this policy since practically every other restaurant in St Albans has absolutely no problem with dogs. Does he think his little cafe is more upmarket than the Peahen, Bills or Gails? Wow what a horrible attitude from an impolite man who refused to even give a reason.
