Prezzo in St Albans

Went to dine at the restaurant with my children and some friends recently and it was horrific! 2 of my friends were violently ill after eating when they went home. Their food was extremely greasy full of oil and wasn’t up to standard. They had complained about this but the waitress did nothing. My order was meant to be prawn but I was given a seafood mixed with salmon instead which annoyed me as I didn’t want salmon at all. The chips was warm so I’d ask for fresh chips but seems like it was put back in hot oil as it wasn’t fresh on return and was very oily! The food was tasteless. 2 of my kids ordered dessert but they weren’t give exatly what they’d ordered! They told the waitress but again nothing was done. Why were we treated so differently? We didn’t feel welcome and the overall service was awful!I was so disappointed because I’ve been to this restaurant many times with my family and had such a lovely time. Not sure why the standard of service dropped so dramatically, but it would be nice to hear back from someone on why something like this would have happened?

Gluten free pasta was too Al dente for me. Rest of the family enjoyed their burgers. Decor dated. Sat next to a toilet, not pleasant when someone opened the door to it. Service reasonable.

Pizza initially not cooked enough & was tough. The lasagne tasted like meat pie filling.& was absolutely disgusting - the worst one I have ever had. very disappointing. However they did deduct the lasagne from the bill. Service was good.

Great restaurant but sadly now closed. Last day it was open for business was Saturday 29 September 2018. Best wishes to all the staff who have served us so well over the years.

Great food with a familiar menu and friendly staff. Well located, right by the town centre but not in the middle of it which combines a short walk from the various transport links with a generally reduced hustle and bustle outside.

Well. Spaghetti Carbonara is pasta with bacon plus some olive oil. I would expected much more. It was no sauce on it at all. But the worst was the Baked mushrooms as they came raw!!! Binned them all.

Ordered a veggie pizza from deliveroo and it was so bad could barely eat half of it!! Soggy veg all over and horrible balsamic dressing!

Nice pizzas and pastas - good variety with the traditional favourites as well as a few things that are a bit different. Takeaway boxes do not keep the food very warm however and ours arrived via deliveroo a little cold.

Food was good. However we had Appalling customer service making our meal and dine of the evening an awful experience.First we were given Bad Seating. Table was dirty, My wife mentioned it to the manager but she didn't do anything about it. Generally looked down upon, did not feel welcome at all!

Great pizzas, nice staff, never had a problem. They make nice Calzone and some pizzas have gluten free option.Sometimes crowded and noisy especially with families with children.
