Sarakh - The Roadside Indian in St Albans

Visited with my friend for dinner this evening! Very rude staff and not welcoming at all! As I live local, thought I would try and see what it’s like as it’s ‘Indian cuisine’ but clearly this is Bangladeshi food not Indian food! They speak in their own language so I couldn’t understand what they were saying.They kept hovering the table, watching us whilst we eat. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Amazing mix of Southern India and Bangladeshi foot. Vivid and colorful atmosphere and really well priced. Strongly recommend.

Amazing food every mouthfull was an explosion of flavour. The food is fresh and it shows. Nothing ive had has come close. It was that great i booked for a week later. Service was impecable my 7 yr old was treated so well its her favourite place now. Its a gem of a place. A must try for food lovers. Very reasonable price for the food.

We had a really nice dinner. We tried different things: dosa, chicken tikka masala, paneer… we found very good ingredients. Service was very nice, very friendly waiters. We will go again!

I placed a telephone order on a busy Friday night. My call was answered promptly and in a friendly manner. I placed my order and was given a time frame. I arrived and upon arrival I could see that the restaurant was packed. Everyone looked happy and seemed to be enjoying themselves. I approached the bar area and gave my name and some came out immediately with my order. About 5 members of staff came from the back and I was greeted and thanked by all. Did I mention that they were super busy? Overall a fantastic service offered and food was great also. Definitely give these guys a try, you won't regret it.

A great menu selection of both the regular options and enough unusual alternatives means that you will never be bored of the menu. Friendly staff, a stylish fit out and mouth watering food - what isn't there to love about Sarakh?

First time and food was great. Lots on the menu and serve all meats including beef and duck. Friendly staff and great service. You will need to book but well worth it.
