Used to be a great bar but it’s been left, dated decor, sticky floors and cocktail menu is just overly sweet weak cocktails.Such a shameThink it’s for the younger generation of cheap drinks and cram as many people in as possible. Not a nice experience for an evening out.

Gets absolutely rammed at the weekend and definitely caters for a much younger audience (a lot of 19-22 year olds). When it's not so full the atmosphere is lovely but definitely feels like they fill to over capacity

I went for NYE with a group of us. The staff were lovely. Unfortunately when we arrived it took us 30 mins to get to our table we paid £50 for. When we went in, it was shoulder to shoulder. Completely rammed. So silly how many people they allowed to enter in there whilst covid is spreading. Nobody checked for covid passes on the door either. Not a good evening sadly :(

I feel it’s a bit too busy and rowdy now. A pity because they Snug used to be a nice little place to chill and enjoy and cocktail and chat. The cocktails also all seem to be overwhelmingly sweet…

Not busy at all for St Alban's at Christmas. The staff were friendly and the food was good.I dropped a star because I was very aware I was sitting in what is a bar in the evening with the general smell of alcohol, sticky floors and upbeat music - not what I imagined of a place called the 'snug' - this is just a preference though.

2.5 stars. Nice enough - aesthetically and the choice of beers is good - neck oil and Camden. But food was over-priced and poor. Toilets were disgusting. Sorry Snug - you could be superb, but were lacking.

The husband and I popped in to The Snug for a warming breakfast. Sadly their coffee machine had died, but they did allow people to bring coffee in from elsewhere.I'm not sure if there was also an issue with the heating, but it wasn't the warmest of venues. The front door is always open to entice people in, so that could have been a contributing factor to the chill. We didn't ask and just accepted it.My husband had the fried breakfast, which was nice. It wasn't anything special and we felt that more could be done for showcasing local meats as a USP.I had the pancakes, which were lovely. Not too thick, not "claggy" and the perfect amount of syrup. The bacon was a good salty addition (optional extra).I think it was just a bad day for the venue, due to the cold damp weather and the knackered coffee machine, making our experience "OK"

Not the place to be if you want to chat. Table booked prior and was placed in the smoking area to eat our food. Food was lovely though. Perfect for tge younger generation.

Popped in with a friend for an afternoon cocktails.. Taken to a seat in the back yard as inside was really dark and dingy. Cocktail choice on Two for One very limited, otherwise £12 each. We ordered at the table, slow service even though the place was empty. They brought the bill with the 2 drinks, to which they added a 10% service charge. We left after the first round.
