The Beech House in St Albans

Honestly, I have no reason not to give 5stars. It was my first trip meeting a group of Christian singles that I have never met before. The; food, ambience, location, amenity - toilet etc was spot on and I would visit again!!! The Beach house is highly recomemded.

Food was excellent, delicious and well presented. Plenty of choice and veggie/vegan options available. The staff were friendly and helpful. No rush to finish our meal, they were happy for us to take our time and chat. We were having a mother and daughter catch up day and we both highly recommend this venue.

Would give zero stars but not an option. Service was appalling, the vacated table next to us took them an hour and a half to clear. Apparently there was a staff shortage. Not that this stopped the staff from chatting to each other or being on their phones. The 'manager' couldn't manage anything as far as I could see. Poor front of house engagement, 10 minutes for menus, 45 minutes for our starters to arrive. And mediocre food when it did.When we asked for the bill, it took two requests, and then stood by the POS, the manager just ignored us and walked away, so we left. To then get chased down the street by a waiter who accused us of theft. We paid of course when they could be bothered to take the payment.Needless to say, we won't be back.

Superb all day modern dining. Parking nearby difficult. Lovely contemporary ambience. Service was courteous and friendly, inspite of there being only 2 waiters. They serve a variety of brunch options until 5pm as well meals to include pizzas, pastas salads, roasts grills and a few traditional mains like fish and chips.We had burger with sweet potato chips, calzone ( huge) and spaghetti in a rich tomato sauce with prawns. All good.Would return.

The customer service was very good. The restaurant is baby friendly. The food quality was really good and well priced.

Ordered a takeaway delivery from here. Both the meat and vegetarian burger choices were spot on. The meal deal included sides and drinks. The falafel side tasted awful on its own - yet incredible with the mint sauce. Don't do what I did. Trust the sauce and be happy! :) Burger prices shown come with chips - so actually value for money when compared to some other burger takeaways that list the price for the burger only. Can happily recommend!

Nice decor and atmosphere, however food was mediocre. Lemonade had no syrup, prawns with the antipasto misto were not deveined and so very gritty (didn't eat) they were also shell on, which is fine, but we weren't given a finger bowl or dish for the shells. Staff were attentive only once we complained.

Nice atmosphere, and good decor inside. Staff messed up our expresso martini, but were very apologetic when they realised their mistake, and made us a new one. Overall very freindly

Really lovely service. We had bottomless brunch for a friend’s birthday and they brought the cake out for us with candles too :) Thank you so much x

The worst Christmas Dinner I ever had. Staff was very nice, the place way too loud for me but that seems to be the standard these days. However, the food was awful! No one enjoyed it and there were 7 of us. Cold fatty duck strips for a starter, undercooked vegetable roast, tough meat and appalling desserts. I'm sure it's great for a drink, maybe even food normally but Christmas Dinner... No! 🤢
