Awful...the manager/owner is so aggressive. There was obviously an issue with payment of the bill..I thought i paid the bill as i went through the process of paying by card. Then i was accosted by the manager saying I hadn't paid..there is a way of going about this..he just shouted at me..he then threatened to call the police. Not sure this place has ever heard about customer service. I could go on n on about his attitude. Never been treated this was in a restaurant/bar..dont spend your money at this place..

Really great wine bar with excellent selection of wines and independent beers and other drinks. We had a mixed board, which featured a good variety of meats and the fun of choosing your own cheese. It might have been nice to have some bread, perhaps from a local baker or one of the stalls in the centre, to accompany, but the crackers did a fine job.Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and kind staff helped us feel right at home. A lovely place.

Stunning place with the most incredible cheese board selection. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and size, and the drinks were great value too. If heading for an evening out, skip dessert and have cheese here instead, you’ll be glad you did!We shared 2 cheese boards between 5, and we were stuffed! Staff were very friendly and efficient too. It’s a must visit if heading into St Albans.

What a wonderful place. Great choice of wines, cheeses and charcuterie. The scotch egg is lovely. Atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are really helpful at helping you choose. Will definitely be going back.

Nice little spot tucked away in Albans high street serving a good selection of wine and cheese (and beer!). We really enjoyed the time there. Highly recommended :)

Great setting in a beautiful Tudor building with wooden beams & an original idea serving primarily wines & beers along with platters of cheese & sliced meats.A good selection too & friendly staff, but the service was chaotic & the food slow to arrive once they started to get busy (trying to prepare the food in such a small space).Overall a good experience, not too pricey & popular with a good atmosphere... just make sure you are insistent not to wait too long.

Charming little nook of beer, wine and cheese. Great to see it is so popular. Recommend you book for Friday nights. Extensive beer and wine selection. Thoroughly enjoyed their mixed cheese and meat platter which is great for 2 to share. The staff really know their stuff and are fun to chat with. For beer lovers, I recommend the Mr Stay Puft (ghostbusters) marshmallow porter!!😋
