The Black Boy in St Albans

Just held a wake here for our mum after scattering her ashes at West Herts Crem - very well looked after by Pete and the bar team. Lovely traditional pub - a rare survivor in these days of restaurantisation!!

We held the funeral wake for Mother at the Black Boy, Bricket Wood, and I cannot compliment Peter and his team enough. They used their experience and swung into action, removing so much of the stress. The food was first class, and plentiful, and the whole team treated us with care and courtesy throughout. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anybody, at any time.

My family had a wake at The black boy bricket wood this afternoon just wanted to say a big big thank you to all there staff who were so lovely & friendly & provided a excellent service throughout the afternoon also they put on a great buffet of food 👍Superb clean little pub worth visiting

Awesome local pub tucked just off a main road. Big Beer garden and under cover smoking area. This pub always has a crowd inside and really friendly staff. On Monday's they have a Biker Night where the owner buys in pizza and snacks for bikers and the turn out again is always good! Highly recommend if you are in Watford, Bricket Wood or St Albans.
