The Burger Club in St Albans

Visited for the first time since it reopened. The decor looks fabulous. The menu isn't as good as it used to be. Pancakes on there but no pancakes with maple syrup and bacon which I would think is a norm? Service is a bit slow one person 2 customers but a little awkward. I had the pancakes with fruit etc and they were really nice.

Atmosphere was good. Staff were friendly but not very attentive and we had to wait for some time for our plates to be cleared and/or to get the bill. Food is priced well for the big portions. I ordered the Avocado Muffin which comes topped with mashed avocado, sliced salad tomato, fried egg and feta, with fries served on the side. The avocado and tomato was bland and cold which made the egg on top cold really fast which made it unenjoyable for me. Also there was no feta with my meal which I did not realise until after eating. Fries were well seasoned and tasty. If I go again I would definitely order something else. Latte was well presented and tasted nice. Overall, was an okay experience.

Everything was going well until after our order was taken. Drinks came late and food order was misplaced. Waited over 45mins for food. Food was really nice to be fair and the staff offered apologies and took care of the bill. Money wasn’t the issue, the wait was as we had our 2 year old with us growing impatient. Benefit of the doubt for this time around.

Good food, chaotic environment, all tables are basically together, the staff definitely need training and guidance from someone. I think a proper booking system needs to be implemented as they appeared to be working off a sheet of blank paper and a pink gel pen, which left people waiting around for ages while we were eating.

Super lovely place. Staff were warm, welcoming and accommodating. The French toast was delicious, and both dishes were big portions. Would definitely visit again

I had my Mother’s Day breakfast here. It was a real treat. So much food with a relaxed vibe which meant my 8 month old & 7 year could be kids without stress.

So glad the place is back in business, I absolutely loved my recent visit and enjoyed my French toast and coffee. Friendly staff. Can’t wait to visit again.

How delicious! I could never imagine I can find such an extraordinary and dazzling place. Everything was unreal . I would definitely recommend it!!

Waiting staff are lovely and prices are about average for the area. However, my food arrived lukewarm and the waffle I ordered was absolutely bizarre. Considering the toppings were bacon, eggs, and hollandaise sauce with a side of pesto tomatoes, you'd expect the waffle underneath to be savoury. But no - it was a Belgian waffle, complete with the traditional chunks of sugar. It was honestly quite disgusting, and I would definitely avoid it! Separately they were lovely, but not together. My friend's French toast, on the other hand, was quite nice and their other offerings looked good
