Had dinner there. Waitress was good. When the food arrived seem a bit too much like a microwave dinner, but Ok. When leaving there was some confusion with the bill. When we got home, we noticed that we had been overcharged for a main meal of £15.95. The next day we phoned, and they said they would refund. The amount they refunded was £9.00. We phoned another 3 times to ask for the remaining £6.95. The person responsible was always 'out'. We never got the full refund for a meal we didn't have. Disgraceful.

The ‘trio of lamb’ dish I had at the coach house was, without doubt, the best lamb dish I’ve ever eaten. The flavours and presentation were so good I had to go back for it again, just to check it was as good as I remembered. It was; and I’d go back for it yet again. All of the food looked beautifully presented with the menu massively underplaying the dishes coming out of the kitchen. Just make sure sure you are hungry - the starters are huge and great value. The only slight disappointment was the cheeseboard, which was huge, but the cheeses a bit mild.

Just had the most delicious vegan meal with you. Thoughtfully prepared and presented and it really was so tasty. And the pudding - homemade marmalade vegan ice cream - heaven! My husband had fish and chips and crumble which he devoured with gusto! Thank you for putting so much thought into your dishes. We have always loved coming to you but don’t live close so it’s not often - we will certainly be back though! And thank you to to our lovely waitress who was friendly and attentive throughout! Happy New Year all.

Went for lunch on Wednesday. First time. What a fantastic place. Super friendly staff. Very attentive. Menu is very varied. Food was amazing. All the staff were very keen to know if we were having a good time. Excellent. Will definitely be back soon.

We have visited this place for lunch twice in the last year (it is a middle point between myself and my sister so we tend to walk at Rutland water and then go for lunch at the Coach House Inn).Every time we have eaten here , the food has been top notch- fish & chips, the sandwiches and the duck leg, for starters the cauliflower harrisa is delicious. The service was also really good and I would strongly recommend this place. We will definitely be back

Me and my partner stopped here for 1 night on the way back from the North. We booked last minute and luckily they had one room left for a very reasonable price.Possibly the best place we have ever stayed (we stay away a lot for work). We had an extremely warm welcoming from the owner, Emma, and even the local pub/restaurant goers were extremely welcoming! The food was Michelin Star quality. We had the Trio of Lamb and the Pheasant, and both dishes were unbelievably good. Our room itself had a lot of character and the bed was very comfortable. I had the best sleep I have had for a while actually! We ended up in the bar until close and all of the locals and bar staff were so friendly. Chatting away for hours like we'd known them for years! Thanks to all the staff for a great night, and we will definitely be visiting again!

Been today for the first time, the place is lovely and warm, very homely. The staff was so polite and friendly, there was a young chap who served us who has been so so nice to us, top class service, and it was lovely to have - who I assume was - the owner come and say hello and give our dog and baby a fuss. The food was honestly the best we had in a long time (and we do eat out a lot): the roast beef was incredible, starters and soups all amazing and desserts were divine.I don’t know why we’ve never heard of this place and I will definitely be talking about it to friends and family. We’ll be back!

First time for my Wife and I but not for my Daughter, her Husband and our Grandchildren. Firstly, the greeting from Emma was warm and welcoming. The meals were first class especially the Rutland Trout that I had. My family were delighted with their meals and there is not doubt that we will be back soon.

Incredible food and service! We booked The Coach House for a large family gathering, and everyone who attended said how amazing the food was. All dietary requirements were considered when the menu was being put together for us. The staff were all friendly and attentive throughout the whole evening, and nothing was too much trouble. A huge thank you to Emma and all of her team for making the evening so special.

A great find! Fish and chips dinner was delicious. The room was lovely and the breakfast was again delicious. All the staff were great and couldn't do enough for me! The little extras with the meals like the popcorn before dinner then fruit and pastry whilst waiting for breakfast were great touches. Freshly ground coffee, the list of positives go on! Would certainly look to stay here again if I'm in the area in future. Thank you!!
