Had a lovely roast , and the staff couldn't of been more helpful. Great traditional pub with good food , easy parking . No stress and very enjoyable .

Hadn’t visited this pub for a few years and, I have to say, it was a lot scruffier than I remember. My pint of Doom Bar was okay, but I would have preferred the ‘coming soon’ Timothy Taylor Landlord. Staff and customers were friendly enough but, for a pub this far out of St Albans’ centre, it has to ‘up its game’. In comparison it’s pretty average (3-stars).PS. Don’t be swayed by the slightly suspicious glut of 5-star reviews from once-only reviewers…

Had a great lunch today with the family. Fish and Chips, Chicken Schnitzel and a burger. All absolutely perfect. Service was great too and our dog was made very welcome, even got some snacks afterwards. We hadn't been here in a long time but will be back soon.

We loved our visit. Our little dog was spoilt by the staff with treats as soon as we sat down. Attentive staff. We will happily come back again.

I really wanted to like this as I've been wanting to go for many years. It was a Saturday night and unsurprisingly it was busy. We ordered through their app and the mains came before some of the starters and other came at the same time. That was after what felt like a very long wait. The fish and chips was incredibly salty and the sourdough bread didn't come with a bread knife, making it incredibly hard to eat. Then came dessert, it was very expensive for what it was and again took over half an hour to come after ordering. Sadly I don't think I'll visit again but maybe being fireworks night, they were over worked and can redeem themselves in future

Great pub with a lovely menu. Tables quite close together given covid and a large window on the side with bright sunlight that was uncomfortable to sit facing. Needs some blinds or net curtains to make it less intrusive.

·

Great food, great drink... fantastic customer service. All the staff are great but Mr French and Miss Irish are 100/10 always. Always so happy and friendly... even when our toddler is screaming the place down ❤ beef roast is my favourite and I am very fussy with my beef! So glad it is our local xx

Dog friendly! Our puppy got some treats and water from the start and the staff were very attentive. The food was fantastic can’t recommend it enough. We had the Seabass and Linguini, both were excellent.

US Expat new to the area so take my review with a grain of salt. King Harry’s has been my goto pub for meeting friends to share some excellent food and beverages. I haven’t explored the menu too much as I keep going back for the crispy pork belly. And good choice of beers. Only thing that can put a damper on the fun is how busy the roads are. But then again can’t fault the establishment for road noise. Friendly staff and decent speed on service.

Myself and my family had dinner twice in the week at the King Harry. I can only recommend the whole experience we had. The staff are all very friendly and organised despite the restrictions Covid brings.I had the “old faithful” fish and chips which was outstanding. The batter was so crunchy!! The second visit we had the lamb from the specials board. This was absolutely fantastic, one of the best meals I have had in any pub.The drinks are well priced and excellent quality, the Guinness beats any other Guinness in town.Well done Shelby and staff.
