The Master Fryer in St Albans

Very good as usual. Made a nice change from the continuing shielding requirements to get a takeaway.

Good chippy, open on Mondays unlike some other local chippys

Excellent food. Very tasty but cold when I eventually received the order from Uber, nearly an hour after I placed the order. It's a shame they are being let down by the company.

Tasty fish and chips. No fuss social distancing. Friendly staff. Good prices.

The cod is indeed the size of a small whale. Very tasty, highly recommend!

The sausage were nice and plentiful and kept me satisfied for weeks. It’s a shame a live in the republic of Congo otherwise I would go everyday. Slightly disappointed there was no lion meat. The way he shaped and touched the sausages was captivating I loved it so much I wish I could get my sausage to look like his.

Not anymore 5 stars which is real shame astheir Greek Cypriot Charcoal grilled menu was better than Greek restaurants in St Alban's. So this updatedue to Covid has sadly meant the above menu dropped and I am told unlikely to return which is real shame. So alas my family's custom is now occasional visits. So to get our Mediterranean fix we are now using a decent Turkish takeaway called Anatolia for Kebab's, which is on the Hatfield road, so this is a pain for convenience, but worth it as quality is good. But on the positive side for the Master Fryer their Fish and chips are still excellent quality, which if they had never introduced a Greek menu I would still give 5 stars. As always service with a smile 😊 and football expertise banter too. Please bring back the Greek Menu with the Charcoal grill? I want to post 5 🌟 again, really missing the swordfish. Cheers...

I'm pretty much always here on a friday evening between 4 and 5 picking up my regular order and the guys and gal in the shop are fabulous. Always smiling and asking after me and my family. The food has always been good. I personally like their fried chicken...its better than most! the fish and chips are also excellent. I tried somewhere else recently and it was nowhere near as tasty as here. Keep up the good work guys!!

Had a cod and chips last night and it was fantastic, my wife is not s fan normally but she really enjoyed it as well.There prices on another website are out of date, can't remember which one, a takeaway delivery one? If it was not for that I would have given 5 stars.Worth the extra money.

I think that master fryers is the best fish + chips shop in England. Not only do they have regular fish and chips they also do amazing grilled fish, kebabs, seafood and so much more. If you haven't tried it than your life hasn't truly begun!
