Lovely restaurant bar. Great cocktail selection as well as beers. Loads of gins!The food was super yummy and nice big portions.The staff was friendly too.Location good in the centre of town.

Food was pretty good, some good, some not so good but this could be purely based on personal taste and not necessarily a reflection of the food being served. I would definitely try something else here to give it another chance. Bar staff were friendly and attentive. Food was a little slow and a bit less than warm when it arrived! But overall a pleasant place to visit.

Large courtyard and weather was kind to us. Able to eat outside. Food was pretty good ( Can recommend the steak and ale pie). Service was good.

They should really stop advertising cocktails. Twice now we have visited in the past month. Twice they are unable to make cocktails as due to staff shortages they don’t do cocktails. Prices up, noise levels up, customer service down. So we will pass on the Peahen for a while until their customer service experience improves.😉

One of my favourite places to eat in St. Albans, staff are very friendly, location is pretty much dead centre and they do very nice food. Desserts so far have been a bit lacking but the starters (especially the croquettes and chicken bites) are fantastic and there’s a nice main course selection too.

Our return visit to the Peahen didn't disappoint. Nice decor and furnishings, reasonable priced drinks and friendly staff. The perfect venue for a relaxed drink. It's also dog friendly which is perfect for us and Dexter our Beagle. We will be back!

It's a really cosy place with a nice garden. And one of the best Sunday roasts I've ever eaten! The chicken and vegetables were really tasty and the sauce was simply perfect. Moreover, all the staff members very friendly and polite. I'll definitely come back here next time I'm in St Albans.
