Very nice lunch. Only soup and sandwiches I know (cos it was for a do). Beautifully presented. As much tea and coffee as you wanted. Special compliments to the chef (landlords wife) who made the best mushroom soup I've ever tasted. 👍👍

·

Fabulous roasts, generous portions and a friendly welcome. There aren't many good traditional pubs like this left, we'll be back, thank you!

·

Great Sunday roast at the Queens Head, very helpful and friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Even our dog got a little roast which made her day !

Lovely cosy traditional pub, fire, low beams, fabulous ales on tap too

Sunday lunch yesterday was amazing. Lovely feel to the pub,friendly/ welcoming staff gave it a real family feel. Dog welcome, which was a bonus for us. Food was swiftly brought out, portions enormous, good quality well cooked, and the hottest roast I've ever eaten! (we were table of 8 so not easy feat) Great value for money, no wonder they are so busy! Well done, we will return for sure. Only niggle was lack of condiments (tbh we were so in awe of the food we forgot to ask) Thanks Queens Head, job very well done!

What a beautiful Sunday roast 😁lovely pub friendly staff and the landlord couldn't do enough for us 😃

·

Friendly folk, great pint. Had to go outside for drink only, which is not a problem as these guys need to make up lost ground and serve as many Sunday lunches as the can. Good luck!

·

Lovely village pub, large garden area with limited parking. (lots of double yellows around) a number of tvs available for sports. No play area for children. Serves standard pub food at reasonable prices. Very pleasant staff who are happy to help you. Large selection of beer and ales along with the usual wines and spirits.

Really attractive-looking pub in a lovely location - next to the church and ideal for visiting Heartwood Forest.Only ever visited on a Sunday and, for me, the interior is too dark and the aroma of cooking is too overpowering if you just want a drink. Saying that, the Sunday Roasts look and smell great, but I personally prefer the lighter and more airy feel of The Green Man.Although, again in my opinion, The Queen’s Head does have the better Beer Garden - walled on one side and overlooking the church on the other. Great variety of comfortable outdoor seating and great for people/dog watching.
