Just popped in for a quick drink with the family and dog. Lovely open fire and made to feel very welcome by the bar staff, could have happily stayed much, much longer!

Lovely staff and the beer was excellent (real ale and Guinness). The food looked excellent out in the quite large beer garden. The inside showed off its wonderful history and although on the small side, provided ample room for the locals.

Had a late Sunday lunch with friendsNice friendly atmosphere, the roast beef lunch was excellent as was the lamb and chicken. Lovely homemade rhubarb and apple crumbleWine list is ok ,do think they should have a good house wine at the £ 12 level. Highly enjoyable
