Veer Dhara One in St Albans

Do NOT book this restaurant - we booked with confirmation and turned up to no table for us. It was my dads birthday and my autistic brother was very visibly distressed because of this yet the staff did little to help. We ended up having to wait for ages and eventually leave when there was still no table for us. Don’t be fooled by a confirmation email, as we’ve since heard from multiple sources that they over book all the time. Luckily we found much nicer atmosphere and service elsewhere locally.

We have only gotten takeaway but have done so many times. It is consistently delicious. Where I come from Indian food is rarely sweet and it is so nice to get a curry or a main here that holds to that. Proper flavour, excellent seasoning, and great portions every single time. I've finished my meal and I'm already ready for more! :)

Hands down the best curry I have ever had!!! This was the Lobster curry and I cant wait to go again. Service was excellent and atmosphere was good. Very busy resultant but with a top service and AMAZING food.

Loved it, and we'll be back again for sure. Six of us visited Saturday evening, and despite Veer Dhara being busy, the service was brilliant, with drinks and food arriving promptly. More importantly, all the dishes were individually great, with each one uniquely spiced and so tasty. Highly recommended!

This is the goto place for Authentic Indian Food in and around St Albans. Service is, most of the dishes can be compared to any decent restaurant in India. Chef and staffs are good, good service. Only thing you should avoid is Biriyani. Definitely will recommend this place.

Nice Indian restaurant in St Albans. Service was slow and the ambience a bit dated. The chairs need replacing as soon as possible as the upholstry is saggy. The daal makhani and prawns were good . The vegetable biryani was below average. Nothing unique ( except an old claim to fame that Tom Cruise ate here once) and nothing to write home about.

Nice food and cozy ambience. Could do better in terms of breads. Courteous staff. Will visit again to try other items from the menu.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The furniture is amazing. The staff members were so friendly. The food was delicious and I had no symptoms after due to food intolerances.

Amazing food, I can see why Tom Cruise enjoyed eating here, I also really enjoyed the lobster curry!
