Verdi's Trattoria in St Albans

This Sunday, one rude member of staff was storming around complaining to her colleagues and a customer about there being too many people buying ice cream cancelled any more orders. There were only about 6 or 7 people queueing for it at this point. This isnt the first time ive seen it happen. Another time i was served by a girl who couldnt identify any of the flavours. Some of the people at the hatch are consistently rude and the coffee is always weak and tasteless.

Fantastic food combined with great service! Would highly recommend Verdi’s to anyone.

This is one of the best places to eat in St Albans. We normally ordered stone baked pizzas from here, which are absolutely to die for. But today, we decided to have breakfast here too. Needless to say, it was amazing. I would recommend this place at time of the day

Have been a customer of Verdi's for a few years as live close by. Everyone is really friendly, food is great. (Lots to choose from) definitely recommend - to go there while at Clarence Park for example 😀

We visited today with young family members in tow having only ever had the delicious ice-cream takeaway before now. We were made to feel very welcome (despite the amount of mud we brought in with us!). The staff were extremely accommodating and provided various forms of entertainment to keep the children quiet (aged 2-10) which meant we could relax a little too. Food was delicious (I had eggs Royale) with the kids menu giving a nice variety and good portion sizes even for the older ones - and all very reasonably priced, and we will definitely return!

Had an amazing night. I had to change my reservations 4 times and they did not have a problem with that. When we got to the restaurant it was a very warm atmosphere with amazing service. I would definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely shocking! The girl who was serving us was so rude and acting if she was doing us a favour. No please or thankyou and generally a bad attitude shouting at her colleague to shut up.Then from the serving hatch we heard them shouting quote" That tastes like s**t" and "why are customers so weird"The coffee was as bad as her attitude.Even for free I wouldn't return here!Just horrible!

Too expensive tasteless food!I’ve ordered through the Ubereat app, paid £30 for the worst food I’ve ever had (I threw it away in the bin).£5.00 of panna cotta, 5 pound for a LIQUID panna cotta the same size as my AirPods,and then,salsicce alla griglia….There were exactly 2 sausages and 2 pieces of meat (I don’t even understand why the meat, I had ordered the sausages and there was no specifications that will come with 2 pieces of meat too) the meat tasted like rotten meat,the sausages had no flavour and everything was so spicy that I couldn’t eat it,But it does not specify anywhere that they are spicy but still, it was full of hot peppers…Why?Why don’t specify on the menu that is spicy, very spicy?Why present the food as Italian food, when it have nothing to do with Italy?…. So disappointed, had to go and grab a pizza after I threw the “food” in the bin.

Visited for the first time to a Turkish restaurant in the attractive town of St Ives. We were greeted and shown a nice table in this smart venue. The menu choice was comprehensive and reasonably priced for what turned out to be a delicious and substantial portioned meal from starter to main, we were not disappointed. We will return!

Nicely placed venue on the edge of Clarence Park very near to the St Albans City football ground - good grub too.Can highly recommend the Alla Campidanese which was truly scrumptious.
