Golden Dragon Chinese Takeaway in St Edmundsbury

Was at a friend’s place in the area and decided to order some food for supper. Arrived way too late and quality of food by then was quite bad and room temperature

It's currently going through a change of management but actually I have seen the quality of the food increase recently. They are having some technical issues but if you can drop by for an order I'm sure you'll enjoy it. They're having a new inspection for food hygiene as the last one was under previous management as well.

Food hygiene rating of 0. I think I will give it a miss!

I have had food previously from here which was good. This food was late. When I called up I was lied to being told it would be 5-10mins. Arrived 40mins later.The food was luke warm and not very appetising. I am beyond annoyed with food taking two and a half hours to arrive, of such poor quality and being lied to.The delivery driver was at least polite. I would strongly recommend not ordering from here.

Dreadful. I never really leave bad reviews but this was a bit too much. I ordered the squid in mushroom sauce and quickly found the mushrooms were pretty old, my fork couldn't pierce through because they were so rubbery. I had to pick them out, look at them they're atleast a week old. I also ordered the seafood rice with scallops, prawns and muscles. There were no scallops and 2 of the 3 muscles were off. I was really craving Chinese for so long but this will put me off it for a long time 🤮

Ordered on a Friday 8pm through Just Eat app. Food arrival was 1.5 hr forecast and it arrived in an hour. Ordered fried squid w/ butter, siu mai, roast duck w/ginger and spring onion, and mixed veggie rice. I was very content and will order from them again!

Have ordered many times and never had any issues, until tonight! The service was shocking. Well over an hour after the delivery time stated and over 2 and half hours from placing the order. Food finally arrived luke warm. Disgusting service! Each time I called was told something different.

Really delicious food, super-easy online ordering, quick delivery. We had lots of buffet type items so our kids could try different bits as they've been learning about Lunar New Year. They haven't stopped talking about how yummy it was and when can we have it again! It was all so yum it's hard to single out a dish. The prawn rolls were v popular though! Thank you, second time ordering and won't be the last.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Absolutely terrible waited over 2 hours for food until we calleed. They said it was out for delivery (5 min drive away). 45 minutes later absolutely no sign of food so we called them to find they'd take the phone off the hook.We got fed up and drove there to find it was closed (at 9pm, even though they were meant to be open until 10:30pm). After pounding on the window for a few minutes someone came out. Once giving him the order address he said he'd get them to start cooking it, and it'd be 5 minutes.Absolute joke of a takeaway.

Despite the number of bad reviews, we had a good meal! The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 is that the chips were absolutely bland. The rest of the meal was very tasty and the delivery driver was very polite!
