Had a lovely breakfast in here the other day and two halves of some new / rarer GK beers which were super tasty. Big plus point is you can get a beer with your breakfast from 10am most days where as most other pubs in BSE only open at 12 for food (Wetherspoons excluded !). Lovely staff too. Didn't look in shop or do brewery tour as booked for beer festival.

·

Very interesting beer tour with a lot of Bury st Edmonds history, great views from the roof of the brewery and good beer to taste at the end. Very interesting and entertaining guide.

·

We were waiting for the brewery tours so only had coffee but the menu looked good and reasonably priced.Staff helpful and friendly.

·

Very informative tour with guided by Steve, plus an excellent chance to taste the beers at the end of the tour. The staff in the cafe were excellent, very friendly, I would recommend both the tour and the cafe

Brillant experience despite not being allowed in the main building to watch the beer brew. I hoped I could gift aid my ticket and come back for that part after all covid restrictions had been lifted. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, it was great hearing the history walking tour of the founder, then the tasting was brillant, over 6 different kind of blends, plus nibbles. As great to hear from one of the pump engineers too, when he was checking one of the old speckled hen taps, on his job and what he did. Everything tasted could be brought in the shop with 10% off a free bottle of beer too. We stayed and had lunch after and got 10% off the lunch. Would definitely go back to stock up on supplies and if in the area for lunch. Great customer service by everyone from start to finish.

·

Incredible value for money. Kathy was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the brewery and Bury St Ed's. Kathy was also brilliantly informative when describing the beers during the tasting session. A great experience. Recommended.

·

Great place. Good beer, good value food and friendly service.

Underwhelming as brewery tours go I'm afraid. Staff were friendly enough and they had good local knowledge but the lack of beer tasting before you had to pay seemed tight. When you consider micro breweries like the Hogs back bring out like 4 pitchers of each beer on the way round.
