Hungry Horse - The Greengage in St Edmundsbury

Absolutely nothing but disgusted to say the least. Came here for a nice family meal and had to wait an hour for our food. And if I knew what the food was going to be like before I got it I wouldn’t have even bothered wasting my petrol on it. When the food came sauces that were meant to be included were not there so had to go up and ask for some. The waitresses didn’t once ask if we/ the food was okay and no one apologised for the wait. Glad to say I will never come here again

I hadn't been to the greengage in some time. But my experience last week was amazing! The food truly all sounded wonderful. There really not another pub that does your big standard fry up, pub food so simply, cheap and yet so tasty! All the staff were friendly and welcoming when they bought the food and drinks out. The atmosphere was homely and warm. Much nicer than some experiences. Thankyou to every member of the team. Youre all bloody stars

2 STAR was for the friendliness of the staff. Various meals ordered from a group of 10 people. 4 meals edible and 6 really bad. Staff were great but food really wasn't. Free deserts offered for poor quality of food.

The steak were really tasty and flavoursome cooked to perfection. Good size portions to. Great price on steak on Mondays!

Was celebrating a birthday.picked the wrong place to do that.ordered big plate special Chicken Tikka Masala was given 4 pieces of pigeon tikka masala when complained lady behind bar took it without saying a word then was told that was portion size from suppliers. Ordered 7 meals .chicken skewers were so hard felt like Roger Federer had just served them.chiken kebab was cold.only good point was the poor young girl trying her best to keep people happy.all in all I now know why the Horse is Hungry.

Would rather watch my dog be put down than eat here again. My Big Plate Special would be Ok if I was 3 years old. Chef's must be paid so little that they ask for £2 a month for a better living. All my family were not satisfied and we are the easiest lot to please.

Won't go back in a hurry. Young lady who was waitressing was great but manageress was not interested... we went for a birthday family get together. Chicken tikka big plate special had 4 bits of chicken so god knows what what a normal plate would have. Had to wait for basics including a glass of coke..big plate chicken skewers were burnt but cold.and full.monty was missing side.we usually go to shoemakers in Norwich, they are so much better

40 minutes after placing my order I had a staff member come to my table to inform me that they couldn't complete my order due to lack of sausages and asked if replacement chicken would be acceptable to which I agreed. When I finally received my meal the gammon was burnt on one side and there was something very hard in the chicken which I can only assume was a bone. In addition to poor meal quality the staff failed to deliver the correct drink orders on several occasions along with forgetting food orders so some of our group would be able to eat while others had to ask where their dish was.

Worst meal from the greengage in a while, there were 3 families in there and still had to ask for the table to be cleared and cleaned. We ordered our food and then a few mins later a chef come out to say 2 of the 4 meals weren't available and he even said the person taking the order knew what's not available. When food came out it was burnt, missing items on the food and dips missing from the onion rings. A few carrot sticks for kids veggie snacks, both kids fish finger meals were burnt. After a 3hr drive home and wanting a meal it was a shocking meal with most of it not eaten
