Jasmine in St Edmundsbury

This is our regular go to for Chinese takeout.Didn't go there for a while as the previous owners chef didn't cook the chicken balls enough resulting in pink meat inside.After learning that it was taken over and had a 5 star hygiene rating we went back and the food was much much better and haven't had a bad meal from there since.

Brilliant food Best Chinese in town and fast delivery only took 15mins. Lovely delivery driver too.

Avoid. After two hours of waiting and being told “ten minutes” every ten minutes I asked for a refund which was apparently processed but after a week hasn’t appeared in my bank. They didn’t care one little bit about their poor service or non existent refund.

I can't comment on the quality of the food since it never arrived! Ordered at 8pm for delivery at 9:05 and by 10:35 it still hadn't arrived with very little help from the people working there! Absolutely shocking and definitely would NOT recommend!

Order was two hours late, arrived cold and the tofu was hard, dry and clearly really old. Will not be ordering from here again.

After waiting 1 hr and 20 minutes later we received our food it was not even luke warm called up and made a complaint was only offered 10% discount on next order not even a apologies safe to say won't be going there again asked for my money back but got told no waste of £20 down the plug hole!!!!

Gone down hill orded food at 5.30 got told it would be 40min to hour wait no probs there but 1n half hours later still nothing rang them back they didn't no why, 1hour45mins he turns up I asked him why took so long he said he had been to moretenhall first 20min drive i live 3mins drive down the road so he drove past my house with my food and didnt bother dropping it off first took my food for a drive around bury when finally got it stone cold.

While in the area we decided to buy in some Chinese food to bring back to the cottage we rented. I was dubious due to the under 4* rating but as it was close and that it had a 5* in hygiene we thought we'd give it a go. As it turned out, it was more than nice - it was superb! So much did we enjoy it, we actually went back for a second visit and because we complimented their food so much, we were given spare ribs and prawn toast for free (also scrumptious). I find it hard to believe the star rating wasn't higher, so this is my contribution to a great takeaway! Thumbs up!!

Been a customer for years but this place has gone down hill. We've been receiving incorrect orders and very late orders or turning up late and cold. Tonight when our order was 1/2 late i called to see where it was, I was informed they were busy and couldn't do it for another hour. I had ordered it for delivery 3 hours previously!! Not sure what's happened to this place but I'm never going back.

Ordered the dinner for one A (sweet and sour chicken balls, house fried rice, egg roll, and chicken chop suey) plus crab and corn soup. Service was super friendly and timely. The chicken chop suey had a bit too much sauce. The house fried rice I found to be the best compared to other Bury Chinese restaurants, but everything else was about the same, quite alright.
