Nine Jars Bistro in St Edmundsbury

Took my daughter & grandaughter for breakfast Saturday morning. The service was appalling and it wasn't even busy. Waited 40 mins for a bottle of J20 after asking 4 times for it. Breakfast was luke warm and we had no cutlery, again had to ask twice. No apologies.Then we were over charged by £11.00 and had to wait for a refund.Very disappointed!

Just been for lunch with family, lovely food, friendly staff. Very reasonable price wise x

The decor is fab I dustrial but modern chairs are super comfy, great food choices, reasonably priced

Went on Sunday for breakfast and was completely appalled at the service and food received . I went with 3 other people, 2 of which are vegetarians and when asking for bacon to be swapped with a fried egg we were told it was impossible and the boss had full blank refused to do it, saying we had to pay an extra £1 (making pancakes and a fried egg a £9 meal!!)After then placing our order, 15 minutes after ordering we were told that they could only fulfil 2 out of the 3 dishes! I was appalled they made us wait so long to tell us after ordering, surely this was communicated sooner than making us wait so long!!The waitress then reminded us that although they couldn’t fulfil our order, they were still refusing to swap the bacon for eggs on another dish! I changed my order and shortly after everyone else’s food was brought out, I was sat there waitingAnother 5 minutes passed and the waitress came over to say they’ve ran out of ciabatta and only have bread (AGAIN why such a delay communicating this!!) so I requested breadAnother 5 or so minutes passed and everyone else has finished their dish and mine was finally brought out. However after specifying no mushrooms, there were mushrooms in the sandwich. When I pulled the waitress over to complain she took the plate of me and said “I’ll go take them out for you”. When I’m paying £8/£9 for a meal I expect it cooked fresh again, not having the cook or whoever scrapping things out of a meal!!The sandwich was completely and utterly disappointing anyway, I expected more than white hovis bread paying the prices they charge and definitely a better mealAfter coming here quite a bit for breakfast and the tapas menu I can easily say I won’t be coming back anytime soon! Completely and utterly disappointed in both food and service

Love their breakfast and Tapas, relaxed atmosphere and nice staff. Lovely that they're doing live music again.

A booked afternoon tea included sandwiches, s complete lack of gluten free options, and staff confusion over what 'afternoon tea' should include (there was no actual tea until people started ordering it, only to be charged and later refunded when they said it was included). That said, the venue is well presented and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Wonderful, had a special birthday celebration with family (large family). Looked after us brilliantly, nothing was too much, went the extra mile, fab food, staff were outstanding. Definitely recomend.

Went again yesterday ( last visit 5th December) Same amazing experience. Lovely friendly staff. Worth going in just to meet friendly staff. The toilets are so clean and fresh, they definitely make sure it's a safe and hygienic experience for all ages. We want to try out the Rooms Available upstairs soon. Amazing friendly place. I can't understand some of the 1 Star Comments!

Nice food/drink but service can be all over the place.Often pop in on a weekday when it’s quiet and sometimes service is slow but assumed it was down to few staff with it not being peak time.However we went on Sunday morning when it was busier and was sat there for 40 minutes before even getting a drink.Would recommend a visit but not if you are in a rush

Regularly go into 9 Jars for coffees they are really good coffees but pretty expensive£7 for 2 lattes but as it's a nice place to sit and with a coffee card you get 5th one free. Went in this morning and the price has increased to£7.50 for 2!! Sorry but you will lose our trade now. Shame
